Can you make some mirrors? :?
Next release I'll try and post it to the IDGames archive.

Yoda Stories, yeah. With a slightly larger budget to make it a free-movement game (Star Wars Diablo?), it would have been excellent IMO. V0.9 of Chibi Rebellion actually used YS enemy sprites, but it was a pain in the ass to clean them up so I only used the front sprites for V1.0. I'm still working to make use of more of the YS puzzle items.

I've got a request for you Star Wars fans. I need a ship to replace the Slave I. It's too character specific to be used generically. Best I can come up with is a YKL-37r. I'm going to use my existing GX1 to replace the Millennium Falcon.

[EDIT] Link Removed

Added two final maps. Not sure what other changes have been made, been awhile. I'm still short a weapon, can't come up with an acceptable design.

It's still in the early stages, but I left in an incomplete final map. Warp to map19 to try it. Shoot down TIE Bombers before they bomb your base's generators. Alt-Fire will launch a missile that auto-seeks the TIE Interceptors. The "player" is supposed to stay put, but I never actually added the code to freeze the player, so just don't move. Also a good idea to enable invulnerability, as the TIE bombs can hurt the player inadvertently. ATM there is no end, until the TIEs finally get all your generators.

[EDIT]
The ammunition for a new cargo loader behavior boss:
Image
No Taun Tauns will be hurt in the production of this level though, can't say the same for the Rebel scum...
[EDIT2] Wampa bonus now applied. Still haven't made use of the Alliance and Droid bonuses.
I've also added a few generic droids that get used in place of the black R2 unit outside of Imperial areas. They're randomly selected like the bounty hunters.
[EDIT3] Finished another map, utilizing two Yoda Stories items, and my AT-AT. Brings the total playable maps to 63.

Is anyone able to edit the attached WAV? Nothing I have can handle the codec. From what I could gather, Sony Soundforge might be able to handle it, but it's too hefty for me to download the demo.

I can open it with GoldWave, but because it can't correctly self-identify all the properties it makes you guess at some of the details of the format. The biggest one is the sound rate, because if you go with a lower rate the scream will sound deeper than if you go with a higher rate.

It seems to mostly get the sound correct though; it sounds like a dying scream. There's less than a millisecond of garbage at the start of the sound that I imagine is some other form of data stored in the sound for whatever application it was originally meant to run with.

Here's what I got converting it to a 16 bit mono 22050 Hz wav file. If that's the right sound but isn't exactly correct you're going to need to get GoldWave yourself (it's about 2.5 MB) and guess at the parameters.

I messed around with GoldWave but I didn't find the right settings. Now that you've found them, I don't have any problem getting at the files. Many thanks, unlocks a wealth of sounds.

I'm having difficulty DLing the latest version. I've tried a few times but I will keep trying.

Ermm... Did you use the link on the first page, or this one? Forgot to update the link in the first post. Otherwise, I don't know, works for me. It's probably a local server though, so connectivity problems wouldn't be a big issue for me.

Especially when the Taun Taun scurries away after having the rider snatched away.

This page. I've got it to start a few times, but the connection dropped. I'll keep trying.

Other then the archive, any storage suggestions that offer FTP access?

[EDIT] I've tweaked the Battlefield AT-AT, so that the snowtroopers come down on ropes instead of just hopping out.
[EDIT2] Storm Troopers now occasionally drop a helmet pickup instead of their corpse helmet. I've also added shield converters to some of the second branch maps. Each converter has enough power to restore 100 shields.
Excluding the start maps, there are now enough maps for six unique playthroughs.
[EDIT3] I've changed the cargo loader behavior a bit. You still can only damage them while they're holding a crate. Now however, the crate can explode, significantly damaging the loader.

Here's the current version, as of 4pm today. Nothing terribly new, a few new maps, some misc enemies. Raided KotOR II and JKII for new sounds. Since I added the shield converters, and stormtrooper helmet drops, the game seems a bit to easy. Maybe it's just me?

Still some things I want to do before sending it to the archives. To do:

I did notice that this is definitely one of your easier mods to play through. I'll play through the new version and give you my thoughts on this. I'm surprised nobody else is picking up on this topic.

The project is old (probably my first ZDoom project), so I'm sure interest has waned a lot. If you notice, the original post for this version (3.0+) is a day over a year old now.

Just fixed a broken blaster see sound. Affected all blaster rifle enemies.
Added a bounce sound to the R2 and R4 heads.
I've also added an Imperial protocol droid, not sure how I'm gonna use it yet. Probably as a key holder or something you need to chase down with a droid caller.
Thinking of adding a Gunsmith Cats:Russian Roulette style secret.
[EDIT] Ever since I added the astro droid sounds, I've taken a sick pleasure in blasting them. ::watches a droid head bounce:: "BONK BONK BONK" ::giggles::
