Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Huh. Must be the new Bloodmaster, I didn't hear about Soda saying that. Either he was just messing with people, or maybe an actual stalker of his took on the Bloodmaster persona. If the latter, I really don't condone it, I don't like anything the new one is doing, in fact, even if he's not a stalker. Bloodmaster was just supposed to be a harmless (but very obnoxious) noob, not a malicious spamming stalker. And if it's the former, well, I don't condone that at all either.

Yay! Dug a well in Dwarf Fortress without flooding the whole thing, which I heard is easy to do.

I'm reasonably sure the later instances were probably Sodaholic himself.

Wow been exchanging messages with the creator of the music on the older Crash games- turns out he is into the same kind of music that I am- when I mentioned Kraftwerk and Aphex twin he said they were influences on the music he enjoys as well as Mouse on Mars...who are not exactly well known to everyone but made my inner child jump about knowing he loves them too~

Did you use an underground water source or an above ground stream. I really wish that Toady would fix it where all water sources start out pure (or provide the means to purify it), I think it's a little ridiculous that every small pond on the map is stagnant...it's like living in a damn swamp.Ghastly_dragon wrote:Yay! Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
suffered yet another goddamn losing streak in TF2
it's not my fault. is it?
i mean, i frequently score in the top 3 of my team and higher than most of the enemy team, so i'd hardly think i'm the weakest link, but i still feel like im partly to blame.
it feels like the teams are always stacked, and i'm almost always on the losing end of it. on every single server. CONSTANTLY.
i'm a fairly patient man, and losing isn't a problem for me most of the time, but losing 5 rounds in a row despite trying my hardest is frustrating as hell.
and then everyone's all like "LOL U MAD?" well no shit of course i'm mad*, i've just been defending the control point alone (sometimes theres a minisentry or a spycrab or something with me) against the entire enemy team for the past 10 minutes.
even on the rare occasions where i get autobalanced onto the stacked team, it's still not fun at all, because now it's too easy. why can't people just balance the teams? why can't they at least hit "random team" at the start of the map, so they're at least not stacking on purpose? is their kill/death ratio REALLY that important to them?
*i don't get mad easily, but some of the things that really piss me off are worthless teammates, inexplicable lag spikes, and knowing i'm doing something wrong but not knowing what it is or how to fix it.
what do i do? i feel like if i were just a little bit better at the game i could make more of a difference, but no matter how much i practice i never seem to improve at all.

some days i kick ass
some days i don't kick ass
it just happens, if you don't kick ass, just stop playing. you still won't kick ass if you continue
Try adjusting posture, mouse settings, mouse wire position if wired (can affect tension), try raw mouse input, turn off vsync, change crosshair color and size

Channeled part of the nearby brook into a cistern two levels underneath my dining room.Captain Proof wrote:Did you use an underground water source or an above ground stream. Public games often have stacked teams. Not much can be done about it. Frustrated players on the losing side do thing like join Spectator so auto-balance swaps someone over to the losing side so they can join the winning team.Ethril wrote:it feels like the teams are always stacked, and i'm almost always on the losing end of it. on every single server. The two major choices are either finding the right server. Whatever "right" means for you, that is. For instance, a server that disables team picking might be up your all (every player is always auto-assigned and does not get to choose you own team.) Alternatively their is the competitive scene, if you can put up with the downsides of that.
