Would be nice if the normal DESTRUCTION of already dead enemies from v18 was back though, it feels like kicking so much more ass with that stuff covering the entire room

Well, I'll study that feature, but I can't guarantee 100% to be able to implement it...

Don't replace it, I'd actually change it to something else since it's a chainsaw, why'd it even shoot bullets? It's no machine gun. :nope: (But again it's Doom we're talking about, it has a shotgun that can recieve up to 100 bullets..) :stuppor:

Yeah,I would replace the chainsaw with the one that is in Brutal doomSE,the one that you can do combination moves,and has a swing move for alt fire, just my 2 cents. :mrgreen:

Yeah I wanted either that or the chainsaw throw but even the chainsaw throw is pretty silly

Also the skulltag weapons (Grenade launcher, BFG-10k and Railgun) were quite nice despite the fact that you can only get them with the summon or give weapons console command

Well, I was referring to the shooting MP40-ish sound only, not the chainsaw itself... :!:

In fact, the concept of including the Shooting Chainsaw in BDEE is mainly for an availability of an 'emergency weapon', because there are some Doom Megawads where the ammo spilled out the floor is VERY scarce, and the enemies pretty numerous and dangerous. In my opinion, there's no worse thing than have to confronting with a huge horde of monsters with only the help of punchs and kicks, if not a group of Cyberdemons or S-Masterminds. (Yeah, normally in that type of levels the ammo should be plentiful, but not always is that the case.) Better have a last-resort weapon than nothing, I think...

In any case, I'm planning to provide a mutator with the Standard Chainsaw, for those players who prefer the old 'melee-mode' sawing... :wink:

Well, you have a point, but still the MP40 sound is kinda sucky itself, I'd suggest replacing it with D3's assault rifle or chaingun sound (Sorry if I'm bumping this topic too hippo-flippin' repeadetly)

New version 19d released!!!

Including some more changes, apart from the replacing Chainsaw MP40-ish sound. Hope you'll like this one more... :tongue:

This is just a little enhancement. I made the pistol, and some guy named Stiegi made the shotgun.

I just made it for fun. It's not supposed to enhance anything or change anything. Just add in classic shotgun and pistol, that's all. :3

think the latest version is bugged. sometimes the enemies turn to black boxes during certain animations

It sounds strange, but I'm not able to reproduce the problem. I've tested the mod in latest build of GZDoom (actually g2.1.pre-82-g5d032f3) and latest Zandronum 2.0 alpha (140112-1124). Both of them work with BDEE v19e without issues, at least on my machine... :?

What sourceport and version are you using? Do you load some external addons with the game? Have you tried to tweak some adjustments in Setup menu? If you give me some more details, I could help you to solve the problem...
