Zanaveth's mods (STILL ALIVE!)

Projects that have specifically been abandoned or considered "dead" get moved here, so people will quit bumping them. If your project has wound up here and it should not be, contact a moderator to have it moved back to the land of the living.

Re: Zanaveth's mods (Total Madness demo here!)

For the reports you could try using Everest or similar. BTW, what IS 'Morrowind'?

I suppose the problem on the first map could be that it is a simple cube with a script that instantly teleports you to the next map upon entering. I think I should add a 1-tic delay or something. It's just a simple trick to have an intermission text before the first real map.

The divide by zero error must be something exclusive for other's computers 'cause mine NEVER had such problem... It's a mistery.

Anyway, just wait for next release to come out... Or try starting the game from the map next to the problematic one. ;)

Well, I could try that, or I could wait until the new version is released, and see if it still happens. :)
If it still happens, it's not my fault now. :) Especially since I'm now not the only one. At least two other other people have stated that it happens to them. Maybe if you poke Graf Zhal with a stick he can tell you what's going on. Hey, he would know. :)

Other than that, I have no clue.

Gasp! That's Blasphemy! Or something. :)

But yes, fair enough. I'll think about looking at an older version of Zdoom to play this, but no promises, because A. I'm lazy. and B. I'm busy playing Morrowind. :)

How the hell did you get it to work? It still refuses to run for me, unless I go hit the way back machine, and get an older copy...sigh

I believe there's a misunderstanding here. :)

Fair enough, i'll stop bothering UBX to find out why it crashes...at least until I can figure out how to report a bug without Graf calling me useless....

Re: Zanaveth's mods (IDIH demo soon!)

Post by Marisa the Magician »

Hey there! Long time no see! Here I am again, with a new notice: It's Dark In Here has a new demo about to be released!

Yes! This is my personal ghoul wad fan project, with some rather scary ghouls and maps, and also features my own ambiences, heh...

The demo, as I said before, is nearing completion and about to be released, but due to a strange hardware problem on my computer it has been delayed a bit, so stay tuned!

weeeeeeeeheehee... i rock i rock i rock i rock i rock i rock... *WARNING: EGOMODE OVERLOAD!!!*

Well, here it is, at last. The IDIH demo. Just download and play. I haven't tested it completely, so may be buggy or something. The demo includes one map and four ghouls: Azhax, Yannackh, Hezedeth and Los; in order of appearance.

PS: The game's really hard at first, 'cause you start up with just your hands as weapon, but you can just search for more weapons around the forest.

i gotta admit, creepy, but fun. except for one thing, i cant find the floor. :P
nah, what i mean is that ist too damn dark, and i cant see or find any weapons, and thats why i put "Give weapons" for a Glock. but the fun part was for the first time, i can punch the hell out of the ghouls. :P

yea, definately too dark.
On another topic, I'f you're still interested at all in doing that remake of doom 2, I'd be glad to help. I've been thinking of doing something like that myself, but I knew I would never finish it alone. I could do a few maps, though.
