@Blade Nightflame: incredible what gun you have there! First I saw the normal attack so I said "eh, it's a plasma bruiser, kewl". But then I saw the powered up attack and... omg. INCREDIBLE. It's so powerful that you have to stay out of its shots' way, therefore we have an impressive gun that's also fair!
But does it deal damage to its owner when fired powered up? I know the powered mauler mode does, oddly enough, because I thought it's the exclusive role of the sigil to do so, but no... You realize now that you're putting the Mauler at balance risk now, too.

Sorry but... that's where I see the Doom 3 graphics looking better than the sprites.

The Sigil harms the user because it is powered by their life force. The Mauler's powered-up shot harms the user because of all the radiation/energy being emitted from the weapon. That's why it's meant to be used by the Order's mechanical troops, rather than a human rebel wearing leather and steel, and The Sigil really isn't meant to be used at all by anyone, for more reasons than just the health risk.
Anyway, that gun is awesome and I can't wait to try it out for myself.

I always imagined the RECOIL of the Mauler was the sole reason for the damage. And no, the Disinter Cannon doesn't harm you upon fire.
Just please don't get in the way of it's charged explosion. Who knows if an Inquisitor might have it?

@Blade Nightflame: At first, I was annoyed on how mudane that weapon looked.
But then I swear I actually squeed when I saw the powered-up blast.

That is really an awesome weapon, but, the particle trails look kind of crappy - I recomend randomising the sprites a bit and possibly finding ones that have a nice alpha-black gradient thing on the edges.
