You probably haven't played the demo...

Admittedly this would be much more convincing if there were many more intermediate steps, but I think it's proof-of-concept enough that nothing should be considered impossible until you've tried it.
Heh, that's cool. A bit weird and dizzying, but cool. I might have found another way of doing it, maybe I'll try it when I go back and improve stuff.

Risen: Whoa, that example is just cool. I'd love to see this actually implemented in SSD, at least someplace.

No, you don't understand me at all. War games put me off because they are about slaughtering human enemies. I very much prefer some fantasy settings where the enemies are monsters or where you don't have such realistic weapons or models - especially if you can use sniper rifles.

But shooting with realistic looking weapons on semi-realistic looking humans is something I find utterly disgusting. If there is less realism involved (as in the WolfenDoom mods for Doom) it's different.

Far Cry was another game I had some problems with but killing true bad guys is different from killing soldiers who in real life would have been forced to fight against their will mostly. Still, it was about killing semi-realistic looking humans from a first person perspective and that lowered the enjoyment considerably.
I wholeheartedly agree.

Thanks, but I won't be doing any implementation as it's not my project.
Heh, this thread got so derailed I totally forgot it was in here!
