Just return it and tell them it's scratched. They won't over analyze how you opened the package unless they're morons.

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
@Caligari (after my last post):
Back from my half week of girls(, girls, girls...) and half week of Scotland. Good times, all told, though the nice views around Loch Ness (more specifically around Drumnadrochit) do get boring fast if you're just sitting in a boat or stram train looking at them.
Unsurprisingly me sharing a bed with a girl has gotten her friends wondering at what might have gone on. Even the one sleeping on the floor in the same room. Chuck in the "suggestive look" from another girl I met up with and the flirting with a third girl and I think going back to University in a few weeks will be very promising

@Phobus: You dog...
Of course, my wife (then girlfriend) and I got the same looks when we'd spend the night together, even though nothing happened...

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
I'd be silly to pretend that nothing happened. However, a lot more could have, in theory, in all three cases!

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
I got a letter from my college saying that I could apply for an honors job which is exclusive to only several people, but one of the qualifications is knowledge of Microsoft Access, which I don't have.
On the another note they just sent me a refund check for $500. I don't know what I'm being refunded, but it's free money as far as I'm concerned
Also my little brother is starting to take an interest in mapping, I'll probably post his map at some point for feedback. I gave him some common feedback, but he doesn't listen to me, so I figure he'll listen to others.

At work. It's the last day of one of our temporary co-op employees, so I took him out to lunch. Because it's a specially sanctioned lunch, the company pays for it and it gets to be clocked on work hours. Took him to a nearby bar and grille that serves burgers which are most adequately described as, "fucking incredible" (apologies, but this is the best our measly language has to offer in description.) Actually though, I didn't get a burger for myself (this time, other times I often do) but a hot open faced turkey sandwich which was also quite delicious.
The best part is next Monday a new co-op comes in to replace him so I get to do it again!

idgames is wow, bro. Also what's an F40PH? Is this guy coming on to me? You make that sound bad.CaptainToenail wrote:Ceeb, it's because your notorious for being an annoying gay furry

Truthfully I don't care one way or the other because cock, it just says a lot that there's a number of people so obsessed with me who find my submissions and zero-spam them because they have no genitals.

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
If you make it so blatant, of course it's bad.

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Can you actually troll someone when you're pointing out something they like doing anyway, though?
Edit:
Fucking funny double standard, though. I "copied" TUD's Licence To Spell Doom because playing it inspired me to make that map, and I used a "copyrighted" MP3 (Dark Citadel from Doom 64) when, oh... Claustrophobia uses "copyrighted" MP3s from PlayStation Doom? Come on now.

I...wasn't aware that Doomworld, as a whole, was an authority of some sort.
Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Well if you're upgrading from a Vox and you got it cheap, then it's pretty okay for home purposes. But yeah, the VS's pres aren't really gain-y enough. Perhaps you can try add a distortion pedal up front for all of your gain needs. What kind of music are you playing? And more importantly... what guitars are you using?.+:icytux:+. wrote:Hmm, I got it used for a pretty low price, I really like it over my old shitty VOX one, but I do have to say that i feel that its overdrive falls a little short. Doesn't sound very powerful or enough "gain"y. anyway I liked 4x 12" speaker box that I got with it, and if I want to change the VS I got the speakers for pretty much free and dont need to change them too.
And yess, those are egg crates :P A poor mans decoration.
Recently, all of the speakers in my 4x12 blew up... they were Celestion speakers (came standard upon purchase). I was looking around for replacement speakers, went into this really funky looking shop and they claim they have "custom speakers that sound better than Celestion and much cheaper". At first I dismissed these, but for the price they offered, I thought, why not. So I had them install those imitation speakers (I think they were chinese made). MAN was I blown away. It was a little too boomy at first, but I had my friend tweak the cabinet a bit and it sounds amazing. The funny thing is that when I came back to the shop a few months later, they say they don't have such speakers anymore, they were "discontinued". I have a feeling they were stolen speakers... but you know what? I don't care. :P They're amazing and they're cheap.

Not even that, but the fact that said trolls are not representative of DW's whole population. The reviews are anonymous anyway, so it it might even be someone from here who completely and totally is not me at all.Captain Ventris wrote:I...wasn't aware that Doomworld, as a whole, was an authority of some sort.
