I'm really looking forward to this. This and blade of agony are the only current projects in which I see something actually fresh and dedication. Keep it up. Loved the bike.

Woah. That is an old scene by Xenoxols, which he mocked up as a concept but never released. It's not really part of the project, as of, so don't take that as part of content for now. That texture looks pretty cool though.

@Lycaon:
Blade of Agony looks beautiful. Not sure I have the time to put in that level of detail. But yeah, this is pretty much a new game within the Doom engine, not really a mod. For those who prefer their Doom the way it is, I'll be releasing something... more traditional, in the future.

The thing that I also liked about your mod is the minimalist detail that makes everything look like this could have been another game released shortly after Blood or Duke Nukem. In those latter 2.5D shooters they had to find a way to be more detailed and realistic than older games like Doom and Heretic, still mantaining the somewhat geometric austerity that caracterizes old maps made for this engines. I think that is cool and really gives your mod a soul, even though I usually like higher levels of detail such as Skillsaw's and Tormentor667's projects.

I'm in love with this mod, you're doing a wonderful job so far and I hope that you continue to do awesome work on this! I'm definitely feeling the Fallout/Rage vibe from this.

Awww, thanks guys!

Haha it's more to with the fact i'm still learning the constraints of the engine. Ambition tends to clash with ability and time and I end up having to work out how i'm going to get things to look how I want with what tools I have.

And yeah, I'm a sucker for the 90's FPS look.

Anyway, MAP02 is almost done, layout wise. Just need to add detail, scrpting and placements of bads/goods. Had some time to spare so as a reward I had a play around with some new resources I am thinking about adding in for the next release.... need a bit of a clean up but they seem to be quite fun :)

In other, sadder news, I might be cutting the M16/Assault Rifle from the final release. It will remain in the game files, most likely, but I don't feel it compliments the current lineup well enough to warrant inclusion in this episode. There will be another automatic weapon other than the machinepistol anyway.

Maybe I'll add it back in for a later episode....

that's tragic to hear, but nice flamethrower anyway!

I think the flamethrower fits the plasma rifle's role (heavy projectile weapon with a short effective range) better than the M-16 anyway, so I eagerly await this development.

Oh. It's meant to be a multi-barrelled , compressed co2 powered speargun. But if a flamethrower is what people are hoping for, I could always make an alteration or two lol

oops, i see! i had to look for it's pointy end. anyway if the spear projectile has penetration effect, that would be good!

Ah, yes. I have seen that before. There's no space for it at the moment, but I will add to the list of "future cool stuff".

Been adding in a replacement for the demon. I will post some sort of progress bar or percentage later.

This question may be slightly unrelated, but where did you get that song that came with the demo level in the earlier version (before there was the tutorial level)?
