Also, I've been tweaking the SBARINFO of this mod and Sans so it looks fine on all resolutions (even 320x200, which is what I play at on my laptop). If I remember well, I shared them over IRC.

I like the idea of having demons turn to dust like that, could additionally have "boss demons" show their souls breaking.
Okay, just get me a monster soul sprite and i'll include that for Hell Barons, Cyberdemon, Mastermind and Archvile.

tbh i don't think demons "have" souls... im pretty sure they're just the manifestation of evil. it'd probably be more accurate to say that they are souls, at least for the ones that aren't just mindless constructs literally made of evil.

that being said, if they did have undertale-style heart souls, they'd probably be pitch black, darker than darkest night. or just be tiny little lost souls.

But this isn't quite standard Doom lore, is it?.....

EDIT: Nevermind. Guy has a point. Black soul for demons. The hud meter background image would work quite well with some modification. I got it.

Well, this is awkward. My fork of the mod ended up having random sounds not play at all in-game, and it seems to be a Linux-only problem.

By the way, I'm making a TITLEMAP so the title music can loop and Chara's sprite looks fine on all resolutions.

I also made player sprites, and hopefully soon I'll come up with code (and graphics) for deaths.

Update: It's happening. Once I test it all out I'll gladly share my changes.

EDIT 2: I'm way prouder of the Lost Soul death animation than I should be.....

EDIT 3: Uh. Shouldn't the soul hover for a few seconds before shattering? I have the sprites for a demon soul as well, complete with hovering.

Hey, just wondering, but I've been playing Doom RPG in GZDoom (which this works fine in, might I add, save for stamina not regenerating in the main map of the mod I'm using, but is otherwise fine) and I was wondering if there was a way to make a version of this mod, and maybe the Sans mod, in which it adds the titular knife and Sans weapons as buyable/findable/unlockable weapons within the mod in question.

I'd assume it'd be tough, but if you could try, that'd be awesome!

Can't wait for 1.12/1.2, by the way. This mod's awesome~

You'd have to bug the......wonderful.....people there about it. The people who develop DRPG. I bet they'd laugh in your face.

Yeeeeaaah I thought as much. I just wanna play as Chara in an ACTUAL RPG instead of a simulated one.

Wait.
I thought the game was about exactly NOT killing anything and only winning through the "power of love"...? I don't have it yet, but that's the impression I got from the rather lovely logo and cover. And the fact that it says "UNDERTALE! The RPG game where you don't have to destroy anyone" on steam.

Do I just have no idea what this game is?

Undertale is a two-sided coin. You can choose to not kill anything, and eventually find that happy ending....OR.....you can kill everything and get

By the way, I seem to be having trouble with my addon. The sprites don't actually show up in-game. The ones that I made. I don't understand why. Here's the wad for trouble-shooting purposes, made to run alongside 1.12.

Would there be a way to make the special Undertale-related death animations (numbers not included/included) their own, standalone mod to be added into other mods? Even if its only for the base Doom and Doom II game, I'd be down with that. Also, one for dying Marines (if one doesn't already exist) would be nice. Just in case.

Lol,this mod remembered me to finish Undertale.Unlucky,i was stupid and i finished it in "Genocide mode" and now i must beat Omega Flowey everytime i entered in the game.Fuck you Flowey.
