Pretty much, yeah. The Might & Magic games seem to use a more colorful palette which translates horribly to Doom. Just check in my medieval weapon thread for an example of how the Diamond Elemental looked before release.
I've encountered a similar problem with Witchaven, which has a horrible high contrast palette. I'm not as diligent as Bouncy, so the single Witchaven monster I've added looks pretty bad.

It's more like this, actually;
the sprites I ripped out of Might and Magic are the "base" sprites, with no color alterations.
now, in the game, you would NEVER see them like this. No, it applied a new palette for them instantly. and there were *THREE* palettes it used, no less.
However, it'd take more effort to use any of these three palettes than it would for me simply to change the colors myself.
also, tree monster's done.

Is it just me, or are you and blackfish kind of Competitors? I mean, you are both providing hordes of new Fantasy material (which is awesome, btw.), and have lines of people making requests.
Blackfish is actually starting a WOW wad. Maybe a MM wad would be a good Idea, not in the interest of competition, just in general.

Update!
http://www.sendspace.com/file/chyemd
I also included the Might and Magic 6/7/8 textures!
warning: 73 MB.
Enjoy.
Also, anybody want the item/weapon sprites?
NOTE: there are no first-person perspective weapon sprites. only their pickups. the nature of the game made it so you never saw your weapon.
