Word of advice though, CTF players in general don't tend to like new things effecting their game. Adding a new weapon is bad enough, but a weapon that stuns players will have them frothing at the mouth and shunning your wad.
Hm, I can make it a inferno grenade instead. Something like Strife's grenade that sets the ground on fire for a bit. However, if it is the case that they are really adamant about not having new weapons in CTF, then I don't see why they would use ST. Rather they approve of the new weapons or not is really irrelevant to me.
It's not that the image is too blurry, it's that there's no contrast. Even the sharpest highlights on the silver metal are a middling grey. I think ramping up the highlights and shadows would make it look much better.

Already working on it.
EIDT:
Raised contrast and sharpness, mostly on the grey parts. Edited the projectile a bit.
IMHO it's actually the green parts that are kind of out of focus.
I mean compare the middle frames' middle sections (middleception, 3rd frames) to the bottom sections.
They just lack that "sharp" look, which is a byproduct of using a 1px+ brush.
To me, it seems that the green parts are made out of a very tough polymer, similar to parts of modern-day military weapons (and Glocks; don't forget Glocks), hence why I made that brown recolor.
