Is my graphics card not up to snuff? I don't know myself as I don't know *that* much about hardware.
Are you using a Core i3?
If so, try updating your drivers. Wikipedia says it should have OpenGL 4.3 on Windows, 4.1 on Mac OS X and 3.3 on Linux.

Auch, there's the problem---my card is OEM and Acer's support for it is...Lacking.

I wish Comcast or Centurylink would not be shitty for once so I could internet suited to an actual, hand-built tower.

In that case let the experts tell you where you stand

GPU Caps Viewer also has some stress tests to take your graphics card through the wringer.

Just checked: I'm using a Core i5-4200U 1.6Ghz (with an additional boost mode that takes it up to 2.6 Ghz).

EDIT: Just checked, GPU Caps Viewer says that I've got OpenGL 4.2 installed presently.

Can you post your GZDoom startup log?
I got the current engine version working on a HD 4000, so a 4400 should do as well.

Does this also happen when you do not use ReShade?

Nope, only when I use GZDoom with ReShade installed. It even works fine if I install ReShade, try (and fail) to run GZDoom with ReShade, then uninstall ReShade by removing the installed files.

Reshade itself is probably failing somewhere, considering it's probably intended to run on really new hardware, and not integrated graphics.

If it helps, reshade has updated a number of times since the original post.

I have a Mastereffect based preset I've been meaning to share. Look at that glow

Finally a Reshade screenshot for GZDoom that doesn't look like piss! :P Nice stuff. Subtle things like that would really be great if implemented in-engine instead of having to rely on shader hacks...

A good thing you did. It was a dick move the creator made scrambling all the values on mastereffect instead of just leaving everything in a way that had no effect. Since you have to waste time getting it not a horrible purple screen without a blank start to work from.

Graf said it worked for him on his 4000 card, though.

Maybe I'll go post on their forums when I get a chance and ask at the source.
