Jdredalert, I did some digging around and I discovered something interesting. The Westinghouse M-27 Phased Plasma Pulse Rifle exists in both Terminator and Aliens.

That brings one question about the Aliens movies, specially the second one ... if that weapon exists why those marines forgot to bring some crates of those before they took off ? If they had done that, they would have been the one kicking the aliens ass at the colony. Ha those marines are so badly trained , they should know when you go to war you bring something more powerful than water pistols

Good finding BTW.

Actually they did bring those guns along, but they were probably destroyed in the dropship crash.

I quote..
In Aliens, another film by James Cameron, a "phased plasma pulse rifle" is a weapon that the excitable Private William Hudson (Played by Bill Paxton),
jokingly informs Ripley is part of the Marines arsenal (along with knives and sharp sticks). The scene takes place aboard the marine dropship and was
omitted from the original version released to theaters. It can been seen in the film's Special Edition, which was first released in 1992 and then later
in subsequent DVD box sets.

Hudson: I'm ready, man, check it out. I am the ultimate badass! State of the badass art! You do NOT wanna fuck with me. Check it out! Hey Ripley,
don't worry. Me and my squad of ultimate badasses will protect you! Check it out! Independently targeting particle beam phalanx. Vwap! Fry half a city
with this puppy. We got tactical smart missiles, phase-plasma pulse rifles, RPGs, we got sonic electronic ball breakers! We got nukes,
we got knives, sharp sticks...

Today I was inspired to created the M-25 Plasma Pulse Rifle. I used jdredalert's hand from his colonial marine arsenal.

I just need to write some decorate files, and make and exit for the level, and it will be finish.

Add the scope and we are ready to play Kyle Reese...

Pretty weapon, by the way. Didn't know that you were so good at it. ;) And hey, that's Mike12's hand, not mine :P

If you could add the scope for me, that would be awesome! Especially if you could make it the infrared version like in version 1.1. The scripting I have for it thus far are just replacements of existing doom entries.

We can use basically the same code for both, with minor changes. But i can't drawn that scope. However, there are some resources that could be used for a little frankenspritting:

Image

This is from Bethesda's Terminator Future Shock. I've never played the game, but i'm assuming this was suppose to be the same weapon used by Reese. We could crop that scope, and you do your magic so the color could fit with your concept. You could even use some of your artistic skills to make it look less blocky .

And this is something i found here at the forums a while ago:

Image

You could also use this as a base or inspiration for your scope. I'm sorry i can't do the job right now, but these days the real world have got me. I have about 5 exams in the next 36 hours and i can't spend too much time now doing anything but studying.

Excellent, I will do that when I get home.

I will also add another of mike12's hands to the spot it is in the sprites from T:FS.

What do you think if I also made a duel-wielded version without the scope as well?

I agree with this, the Terminators move too fast in this WAD, I understand they need to have a lot of health but that combined with their current speed
changes the experience from tactical gameplay to deathmatch gameplay, which is wrong for a Future War experience.

Humans tends to use only one weapon at time. Terminators, however...

And if you could, you should think about the RBS-80 heavy plasma machine gun used by the Terminator assault at the Resistance bunker in Reese's dream.

A Doomified Future Shock shotgun would be real nice.
