It doesn't matter who likes and dislikes ghosts. A compatibility option would allow everyone to have their cake and eat it, too. Graf and people who hate ghosts like the plague will just not turn on the option. People who want them on all the time can keep the option on all the time. And those of us who would like to be able to play all levels the way they were meant to be played (both those with and without ghosts) can set the option on only when needed.
Now stop bickering, all of you!

LOL! 'Tis true. Murder William would be great. Wouldn't have that much blood and gore though, but there would probably be a gay guy and a few lesbian scenes and some neo-modern-pop-culture-class references that the average person wouldn't even understand.

Problem is that only works for ZDoom maps. It doesn't fix the issues for Vanilla maps that took advantage of the bug (Icarus, HR, Eternal Doom, and Requiem to name a few)
I'll agree with Hotwax that a compat option is the best solution.
