Again, these look very nice. You seem to be managing to do what so few attempts have managed in the past - make something that still carries much of the feel of the original textures but in a hi-res form.

During a break from star textures I start with brown1. Original texture look to me like taken from photo of real wall (maybe this rectangular things in the upper part was hide some kind of water outlet or something, this would explain water stains below their). This is only test version.

A good start and it's already looking better than the current one in the texture packs IMO. It certainly has a pretty faithful feel to it.

The current hi-res BROWN1 has a few problems. I'm not that keen on the basic look of it (colour/texture) but it's not too bad. However, most annoyingly, the rectangular bits at the top do not correspond well with those in the original low-res version. So, using it can mean that things don't line up very well compared to how they did when the original texture was used in a map. So, if you could make a version that has its various bits in a more faithful position, that would be great.

Thanks for suggestion, but I'm make this things exactly in the same places. Image below has layer with original texture, you can see on it what I'm talking about.

I need to work on the upper part. There must be a small gap on the top.

The middle line seems a bit darker than the original and that's my only problem I see with this new BROWN1.

I'll try reduce the shadows in BROWN1. Today I start with EXITDOOR. Here is first part, without the background (I know, some parts are in little wrong position).

I agree with the "middle line" comment but that BROWN1 looks very nice otherwise. A nice accurate looking start for the exit door too.

I love the BROWN1 texture. Your updated STARTAN looks great too. The EXITDOOR looks pretty decent. Though there's something about it that I can't put my finger on.

I think these look too good for the vanila maps. I'm sure there's a mapset worthy of them, though. ;)

This is what I'm workin on over the last few weeks - COMPUTE2, one of the most time-consuming textures. First I'm must create textures for every single panel. Not everything is done yet and there are still few elements missing, but there is 80% done.

Hi,

just want to let you know that your work is outstanding. Really, really outstanding. Just as was your "Dawn of Reality".

I sure hope you'll get all textures finished eventually.

All the best

Hi,

Hey Reinchard2, your textures are looking really good so far!
Just wondering if you're planning to add brightmap layer effects to the comp/electronic types?
It would make them look really cool in darker places etc.

Keep up the good work!
