Alright, since you're a noob, I suppose we can let this bump pass.
But does anyone even bother to look at the previous post's date now??? We've had this happen several(if you ask me, too many) times in the last few days. They may have easily not occured if the posters were paying any attention to other peoples' threads.

If it's relevant, why does anybody care if an old topic is bumped? I don't.

There seems to be a trend for mocking people who bump old threads.
Sure, there is the odd ocation a thread is bumped for no reason at all, but if its topic relevant then the bumpers shouldn't be mocked as they are.
And the best part is: if those people make a new thread instead of posting in an existing old thread (that would be bumped), they get mocked anyways.
I honestly don't get it, I guess the forum regulars like to make their 'status' known to the noobs or something, it really isn't necessary.

!!!SURPRISE FROM HOBBS!!!
I realise some people don't like me, because I'm a bit of an elitist bastard, and a little sarcastic to boot. However, I agree with Siggi on this issue. It's rather dumb to flame someone for bumping an old thread. If randy really wanted old threads gone he would turn auto pruning on agressively for all areas of the forum. If a bump has a point to it, let it be bumped and post just like the thread was fresh. If it be a needless bump, it's the same as a needless topic, it will get its due flames. New topics are less valuable than continuing old ones, as one does not have all the good information from the last thread.

The reason I don't like old threads being bumped, even if the post is relevant, is because I'll think it's something important or new when it's just old stuff from like 2003 and stuff. That bothers me the most. Now, if an old thread that was really good died and someone revived it with a relevant posted, that'd be okay. I just don't like seeing threads that I think are new but then they are really old.

Bumping is perfectly okay as long as it's relevant.
This thread and this thread I'm replying to right now are both examples of how bumping is perfectly okay. Anakin is 100% correct. Even if it's an old thread, sometimes it's better to bump it than to make a new thread about the same thing. Of course, when you're saying something relevant, that is.

You don't need DEHSUPP anymore. Use DECORATE instead.

Since when ZDoom-based ports support DECORATE-weapons?
