Where did I say I supported UHARC as a better archiver? It's surprisingly superior to 7-zip when it comes wad compression, but that's about it, and yes, every byte counts, which's what I was telling to someone who was underestimating compression.
SoulPriestess wrote:You have a problem with people disagreeing with you.
I'd say it's some people being full of shit and displaying a fetish for putting words in other's mouths just for the sake of antagonism. All I said was "isn't UHarc just amazing?" (because it actually is, haven't found a format offering better compression ratios for wad files) and all of a sudden everyone's assuming I found it to be better than 7-zip in every possible aspect and wanted a closed-source archiver to be integrated into ZDoom even though I agreed to the contrary already in my second post.

Jesus Christ

UHArc may compress WADs well but that neither makes it amazing nor useful. And no, compression ratio is not everything and should not be overestimated.

Not that my posting this is helping the clutter issue, mind you, but it may be time for a quick change of subject, for everyone's sake.
I assure you, my intent may have seemed hostile and argumentative, but it really was not. I was rather quite amused by the way he responded to me.

(p.s. post has been heavily edited since it was originally posted... sorry! Sometimes I don't say what I mean to say the first time)

*quick subject change*

Now now, don't blame yourself. I'm sure a lot of people over in Kansas are probably over the Clutter family murder by now. :P

... Oh.

Sorry, I've been studying Capote's novel "In Cold Blood" in great detail solidly for about a month now, and it's all I can think of when I hear the word "clutter".

@SoulPriestess:
Oops... my bad. Now my post didn't seem to come out right. Your post didn't seem hostile at all to me -- In fact, every word was quite deserving.

I've just had bad experiences before and was issuing a warning about attempting to duel with the illogical. It's a tough road that doesn't seem to end. ;P

*subject change again re: Jimmy*

Am I wholly un-American or inhuman for never once hearing of Capote or "In Cold Blood" until the movie Capote was released? Which, by the way, I still haven't seen. ;P

The compression ratio achieved by UHArc with wad files is what amazes me, as it's the best I have knowledge of. Other aspects of the archiver don't look particularly impressive to me.

Why are you still arguing over a very petty matter?

3.1416 has something to do with the date of release? Hmm...

American date format is Month Day, Year. Yeah, it's illogical -- Year Month Day or Day Month Year make much more sense. But that's the way it is.

So, March 14=3/14. To make it more truly pi edition, though, it should be March 14, 1592, at 65:35, and that becomes a little bit harder.

Hm. Interesting and informative.
Will anybody investigate in some way about the support of VIA cards?

VIA sucks. Upgrade.

That sums up our VIA tech support advice. :)

Yeah, but what can I do if all I have is a LAPTOP?
(Which cannot be opened by any force and neither then changed it's soundcard)
