Projects that have specifically been abandoned or considered "dead" get moved here, so people will quit bumping them. If your project has wound up here and it should not be, contact a moderator to have it moved back to the land of the living.

I found a typo in your DECORATE:

Code: Select all

			PLCN NMLKJIHGF 1
			PLCN A 0 A_TakeInventory("Realoder") // To be safe
			PLCN A 0 ACS_ExecuteAlways(778,0,6) // Reload ammo script
"Realoder" should be "Reloader".

Of course, if it's been working with this typo in place, I guess it proves you don't need that line at all. :D

I can't speak for others on the forum, but when I see a question (that I can understand :P) posted, if I know the answer I'll reply to it. I'm not yet caught up on all the changes that have gone into DECORATE and there are other aspects of ZDoom where I have no real knowledge. The alternative would be replying to say "I don't know", which is less than helpful.

Honestly, whining about it just makes you look petty. Nobody here is getting paid to help, you should be grateful when somebody does know the answer to your question and takes the time to reply.

No surprise, really. The one reload script gives you a reloader and then takes it away 2 tics later, so there really never should be a time that line is actually needed. I guess you're right, though: it does prove that it works without it. I'll see if I remember to do anything about it after I get off work.

i had no idea what i was doing when i first started decorate. it's a learning process, like anything else in life. if you can't hack it, keep trying. you'll get it eventually, with or without help.

Hell yeah I'm grateful for the help I have gotten so far. I thank the persons who do reply and give me helpful advices and fix the coding I post up. I don't always ask for help. In fact, I try not to do that. I hate being a burden to people. That's why I try to fix stuff on my own.

I know I kinda begged for help in one of my latest posts, but I was desperate and I didn't get a response for weeks. Sorry if I offended anyone. :(

You know, for a mod as promising as this, I want to help you. Just provide me your resources, and I'll code the weapons for you. It's depressing that the only good WW2 mods out are Laz Rojas's Wolfendoom series. I want to help.

I fail to see why video RAM would have any impact on a software renderer.

Look, DON'T CANCEL THE WAD! I and several others really want to see this come out! If the screenshots are anything to go by, you've clearly got talent in areas that don't involve weapons - there is no reason whatsoever to let that talent go to waste by canceling the project because of one development hiccup.

Don't let a potentially great project go to waste because of one thing you can't do. Wildweasel's offering his help to you, I think you should accept his offer. This project looks really promising. I don't want to see this die off so easily.

I have a shitload of trouble with DECORATE too, but did I give up on my weapons mod? No! I'm not giving up. I keep inching my way to success. It's a slow, painful process, but I know that I'll eventually get everything fixed.

ahh man.... :( this question is not as easy as you see.I got other problems, not this only. :( I will try to do somthin for the wad,but I cannot promise anything...

lizard:

As I said before,I am pretty stupid for decorate reloading wpns...so I can't do it and I also can't do it if I try it 100x.And everybody likes me on Zdaemon, because I can use dehacked very well..but that's an another world for me.And a wad for Singleplayer?er...I only did maps and mods for 16 players! And now,I have to design it for one player, and the storyline is very important too as I saw...and if I want some respect or gratulations I have to make the maps and WEAPONS perfectly. There are thousands of mods/maps out of there for zdoom, but only 10 or 20 are popular.

Why do you need to make a popular map first off?

From what I've seen, you've already got a decent amount of respect aeround here, and you haven't even released anything yet. Not to mention that almost anything you just CAN'T do, someone else can either help you with or can do for you.

I like the idea of this mod, so don't cancel it!

Pull yourself together, DoomerMrT. Don't cancel the WAD just because you're not good with DECORATE.

For a start, you already have a big advantage because there are people who are more than happy to help you get your DECORATE weapons working.

I'm sure they'll gladly help you understand DECORATE better in the process. I strongly urge you start learning how to master DECORATE because you will be able to make weapons and actors that you will NEVER be able to make with DeHacked.

1.
I'm not not good,I'm shit in decorate.

2.
Why do You think it?

3.
I think it too,but I am stupid for decorate,I won't understand it's anatomy.I can make actors already, and dehacked will be\was\always good enough for me.

4.
I know what to do:I will give out this wad with the current resources, and do anything what you want with it.That's it.
