I haven't seen a lot of wads use inventory item reloading, so pardon if I may seem biased on EDGE, which I really ain't. I love Decorate because it's nice and easy, even powerfull, but it lacks the things which EDGE can do to enhance the overall feel of Doom.

Anyway, I'd like to see what you'd come up with the AK weapon.

Decided to alter InuYasha's M16 instead because it'd better demonstrate what I was trying to achieve. Go check it out in the Weapons Resource WAD thread!

The weapon demonstrates how people can program their own inputs into weapons, so you can have as many triggers as you want.

By sacrificing simplicity, ofcourse. (Not the wad.)

I want an AK-47!

Well, it does require some basic programming understanding (capturing input and making a decision based on that input) but it's nothing the more advanced weapon modders haven't already done. This is simply building your own input triggers.

Something like us decorate newbs will only have to understand in due time, and I don't have that much time. ;)

I remember Namami telling me about this sort of wad a long time ago. I kind of figured it was already made.

Now it's about time to bump this thread since, IIRC, actor replacement (using DECORATE) should now be possible in ZDoom. Therefore, I repeat my original question: has someone already created a wad that makes the Doom monsters bleed correctly colored blood (Cacodemons blue, Hell Knights green, etc.) or do I have to create one myself?

For the record, John Romero has already stated that Cacodemon blood is red. :P

Then what the hell is all that blue stuff pouring out of it when it dies? I mean, there's all that blue liquid, but none of the good ol' red death juice! The Man must be mistaken here... :P

He said the innards of the Cacodemon were blue colored, not the blood.

For the record, you have plenty of things in your body (liquid and otherwise) that is not red that would gladly spill out of you if you got shot up as badly as a cacodemon...

You are right, but you'd think there would also be blood coming out in addition to the innards (as I don't see any red blood coming out in the sprites). Of course, it might just be that the artists thought that it'd be best not to try to draw red blood on a red character. Or whatever. I don't think I want to argue about this anymore anyway :?

John Romero only said that to cover up the fact that they were too lazy to code colourized blood into the engine! XD
