Here's a funny question: is this mod playable in versions of GZDoom older than 4.5.0? Because I want to use it with DRLA Monsters, but the "Adaptive" difficulty setting on that mod only works on a specific older version.

According to this quote, it's possible.

Fixed. Again. I guess retrieving new link mid-upload didn't cut it. I really dislike that they made file update generate a new link, but it is what it is.

I've ran into that bug by accident and butted heads with Yholl and Dino about it. Should be working now if its regarding boss monster triggers so for instance you don't get stuck in dead simple, unless its something else.

So I noticed some inconsistency when using meteor fist whilst wearing deadmaker (swole cig).
When flying to punch your enemies in the face sometimes it seems like the punch itself deals a fraction of the damage, and sometimes it will deal full damage. I tested this using a cyberdemon and no powerups (save for mask).
This seem to only happen when you have some distance between you and the cyberdemon, doing a punch point-blank will always kill the cyberdemon in one hit, from a short distance the damage varies between ~10%-60%.
I've had it kill the cyberdemon instantly on occasion too.

This is particularly easy to notice when playing with monster mods (DoomRLA) where you have smaller demons that can actually survive a direct punch like that. So it's not restricted to the cyberdemon itself.

There's always some variance in the actual damage done, even without the mask, but wearing the mask seems to make it particularly wild. I'm not exactly sure how the masked version of the spell is supposed to work, but tomed version without wearing the mask seems to work fine, there's some variation but the damage is always pretty noticeable. I wonder if it could have something to do with the presence of "flexing" damage, because using this whilst wearing draughsuit and power armor doesn't seem to cause any issue.

First time running the mod; it's functional as far as I can tell (and a blast to play with, but that goes without saying), but I crash to desktop any time I open the shop :?

GZDoom 4.5.0, only running GC, addon, and weapon shop with DOOM II. Load order GC > Addon > WeaponShop, but the crash also happens when only running GC.

EDIT: Looking back a couple pages to when the latest video was posted, it sounds like this guy has the same problem as me, though I did not see any responses to it :geek:

Excited to play with the new features tho!

I have 3.666 but only the mod and addon PK3s, none of the readmes and such. Might be nice to have as a legacy download since that's the last one to run on LZDoom with older system support. Sort of relatedly does anyone have the previous version of Vindicated that works on LZDoom? I cannot run the current version.

In case it's somehow relevant or reveals anything about the problems I'm running into: Guncaster 3.6 (and 3.666) won't even boot up for me when running only the core mod and DOOM II in GZDoom 4.5.0. The log presents the following errors after it tries to load the older file.
Spoiler:
The current file boots and works just fine, with the exception being accessing the shop closes the game with no crash log. The current build of Guncaster Vindicated (3.4.1) behaves exactly the same, running fine until the shop is opened, then closing with no crash log. Would there at least be some way to look at what specifically is causing the game to close? Something to do with the shopkeeper maybe, since it seems like the moment he should pop in is the moment it closes

i acknowledge this! I'm only remarking on it in the interest of being as comprehensive as I can be with regards to a crash that won't show me a log

The "decorate error" isn't related cuz it's about the mouse. On that note, old gc versions don't work in the newest gzd, cuz of a cvar which got outdated.

I think you play in some form of software renderer. Nithor's particles appear to boot you out of gzd in software mode. For the time being, you can switch to hardware or set gc_shopkeeper 1 in the console, which will turn the shopkeeper off. "When the shopkeeper appears" really was a good tip-off there!

Got it in one!! Turning off the shopkeeper or switching to hardware mode, either one solves the issue. Thanks

Crash report. I'm using the Corruption Cards mod. The imps gained the ability to reflect projectiles. I fire my strat longhorn chain bullet and I crash every time in the same room.
Culprit lines are 275 and 521 of "zscript/guns/projectile/longhorn"

I'll keep playing and report anything else wonky. It could be the other mod's fault but we'll see. I never crashed with this weapon until now so maybe I just need to avoid the reflection cards.
