Yeah, a good portion of us were (or still are!) bronies/pegasisters. I miss the show and the community - damn that was a good run.

Hell yeah! I didn't know Everfree was still going! Oh god, I'm getting the urge to watch FiM again... and now I'm sad, more of that below. I can also thank MLP:FiM for getting me into Doctor Who -- as one of the streams I watched the latest episodes on had Doctor Who play before the episode starts. I've enjoyed so, so much fun with that community. Art, stories, the overall fandom was so great.

I used to run the "Unofficial TS3 ZDoom Server" back in the day where I met my current group of friends going strong for ten plus years. Shoutout to Trance, InsanityBringer, BouncyTEM, Minigunner and others who might come across this thread. One of the fortunate people to join was Kate. Kate was a fan of FiM, how deep her love for the show went - I don't know. But we enjoyed having Kate on TeamSpeak with us. Her laughter, her sheer knowledge, her... everything, God was she an amazing young woman. I remember Kate having a .gif of this animation in her TS3 profile for us to enjoy. Her laughter was so contagious that we made a balloon icon for her, named "Helium" - a friendly jab at her beautiful high pitched voice.

I moved to Alabama from Baltimore (yes, I went to BronyCon) and some months later, I heard Kate passed unexpectedly. The people on TeamSpeak and importantly BouncyTEM was devastated. Bouncy, I don't know if you're paying attention to these forums anymore and the off chance that you find yourself in here... I'm so sorry, my friend. You carry an unnecessary burden upon your shoulders and if I stir any undesirable feelings, I'm so sorry man.

I think Kate's passing and the depression that I had just spiraled me into not watching MLP:FiM - which is not what the show was meant to be. It was meant to be this bubbly show to inspire good feelings within. I just didn't have those feelings for a long, long time. I think it's time for me to get back into MLP:FiM. To rejuvenate those good feelings - the "I'm going to love and tolerate the SHIT out of you" feelings... and to honor Kate.

I feel you on the spoiler'd material. That's the great thing about the show though: It's not going anywhere, and by all indications the fandom isn't either. I'm in a MLP speedwrite server and it's been a great boost for my creativity and mood to just get stories out. I only get around to publishing a few here and there but they're up on FimFiction regardless.

One of the highlights from EFNW last year was the "My Little Romance" tribute supergroup of MelodyBrony, PrinceWhatever, 4EverFreeBrony, and Thrack (absent, drums track only). I got a signed CD and everything.

I've renewed my interest in making a pony mod. Completely different from anything else I've made, and with bone manips being a thing, I'm in this 200%.

So I'm starting from scratch. It'll be a fun mod where you can take ponies as allies (can only pick one) on missions throughout Equestria as you endure a slaughter of demons. Good ol' Doom Guy temporarily stuck in a colorful dimension (the background is not where it will take place).

How good are bone manipulations? Here's Twilight staring at me. The shadows are provided with a subtractive GL light.
