[SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
okay so i think i'm done unless you guys notice anything jarring. a little more shading was added to where the tricep connects behind the chest. also i noticed in the original sprite much of the detail was destroyed with however it was rotated/transformed so i've cleaned it up everywhere. i plan on moving on to the rest of the hexen sprites it just seemed like this one in particular was the most incomplete and would be the biggest undertaking so i wanted to get it out of the way.

nicely done, i definitely can see the efforts on that edit!

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
As a first person perspective, it's a bit weird. Unless you're moving your head backward while punching (kinda awkward) I don't think you'd see your own shoulder.
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
the original sprite is a weird perspective to begin with and the alternative was to fill out the rest by exaggerating the dimensions to make less of the chest and shoulder visible. i did think about this, about extending it with just weird blown up proportions to be more in line with what you'd probably see, along with taking a lot of screenshots from skyrim while using unarmed punches to get a feel for how much of the arm was visible in a normal widescreen supported game. it's not too far off while still being appropriately sized to baratus' disproportionately huge muscles

Or, for that matter, Baratus' disproportionately huge shoulder pads.pent wrote:it's not too far off while still being appropriately sized to baratus' disproportionately huge muscles
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
yeah i actually took the pawn sprite and blew it up 10x since that made the arm and gauntlet of it the same size as the sprite to get the outline and position of the pauldronwildweasel wrote:Or, for that matter, Baratus' disproportionately huge shoulder pads.pent wrote:it's not too far off while still being appropriately sized to baratus' disproportionately huge muscles

Freeze Rifle for Project Brutality. Slapped together the top half of the 10K and the lower half of the Complex Plasmagun.
Batteries included! Drew the whole thing besides the green light things on top.

Also a skull for a powerup that I'm doing. Used the skull enemies from Blood as a base.
