I can confirm this. I can;t say the same at all. One funny oddity of just testing was I had better results using OpenGL rather than GLES on GZD4.11.3. Made me laugh pretty hard since I usually use GLES for most playing.mamaluigisbagel wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 4:39 pm

tbf I use 4.12-pre of GZDoom because some mods I have require it, and I tested both OpenGL AND Vulkan. Both result in the game freezing rather quickly. I've only had Hellrider and Naku-Naru freeze on me, but it happens almost everytime I play Hellrider, while the other rarely freezes.

A fun mod, well done
I want to suggest a few things.
1- Using SSG seems a bit strange to me. There is no option to fire both barrels by left-clicking, and I do not want to zoom in when I want to do this. Also it doesn't refill automatically, I have to press left button or r key again every time and that's a bit annoying
2- The gun with unlimited ammo seems a bit op to me, can you add a disable option?
3- I think chainsaw and melee options will be nice

This is a really good mod, one that I use quite frequently. I know the author's working on something else now but I'd like to at least see a full v1.0 release at some point.

I can confirm that version 4.12.1 of GZDoom also freezes a lot with this mod.

So since GZD 4.12 nuked Hellrider, somebody had to fix it to work and now its here. Sadly I cant put this on the OP but here's the link to the fixed version.

lovely mod! my only problem is that i cant seem to get the slide to work no matter what i try. someone in the thread said to crouch then press forward but that doesnt work either. wonder if its because im using the gzdoom 4.12.2 fix and it left out the slide somehow? thanks!

I'm answering with undesginated authority, but Make sure you are using GZDoom 4.12 fix That I mentioned in the earlier posts on this page 15, aka my link to my fixed version for 4.12. The main DL freezes a lot on some PC rigs and dinosaurs like mine, So unpacked the Original version and repacked into a clean PK3, because the OG used a method called "nesting" which is fine for like Eduke32, but is crap GZD even if it seems to work fine. GZD 4.12 really put the kybosh on OG Hellrider really hard because this technicality, so the OG had to be reorganized into a clean PK3 format as reccomended by GZD advisors and wiki. And Yeah. I'm not letting this mod die just because 4.12 had an argument with the mod. My version operates identically to the OG because I didnt change any code. The slide works fine. You have to crouch then press forward because its unmarked key bind combo doesnt have a normal keybind at all. When I was playing on keyboard I used left shift as my crouch button, not toggle crouch. Crouch and Toggle Crouch are different buttons in GZD, and in KEYCONF file assignment. SO "maybe' You are using Toggle Crouch rather than normal crouch which is why it is failing.
