Re: Custom Texture Thread.
Oh wow -- those Wolf edits are surprisingly good. I'd even catch myself using one or two of them (especially the bricks in the second set) in a regular ol' Doom map or two.

I can't say I like this trend of putting solid wall textures in the sky, but I like that sky anyway for how seamless it patches with the mountains, and looks bloody too. Still, I'd prefer a realistic sky behind those mountainsDrDoctor wrote:Some might remember that bloodyface edit of mine on page 2, well here's an update to that

I'll admit that it is an unusual choice, I was just inspired by this texture from PSX Doom.printz wrote: I can't say I like this trend of putting solid wall textures in the sky, but I like that sky anyway for how seamless it patches with the mountains, and looks bloody too. ...or from Doom 2.
Re: Custom Texture Thread.
Well, ZDoom and Eternity can natively colour the sectors... The blue and red variants do look like they were passed through a colour filter similar to what ZDoom does. The others are a bit better because the transition seems less trivial than simply multiplying the RGB coordinates with some fractions.

Very nice! My only complaint would be the brown as lowest-color in the red version. Could you change that to a near-black?

Re: Custom Texture Thread.
I had a few textures to show i wanna know if they look good, they are designed for a flesh hell world and i'm planning more cause i hope to create a new expansion to my flesh set in my texture pack. Everyone can use these as long as i get credit or atleast get mentioned. I used a blue print photo copy on the marblebface textures for this to work in with the skin textures and these were the end result.

I have tons of other flesh textures and some real good ones if you wanna see em let me know on this thread

Re: Custom Texture Thread.
To be honest, it doesn't look like flesh to me... It looks more like the original marble textures, just passed through plenty of filters in Photoshop.

thanks for the feedback Gez i'm happy i got an honest opinion immediately cause i'm still filtering through more textures and by the way i never used photoshop this was done straight through Gimp with the filtering system.I'll leave the textures here, but I'm removing them from my texture pack results, if i have anymore textures i'll be sure to post them.
Re: Custom Texture Thread.
I like the skin/marble hybrids. You can still see the grain of the marble but somehow it looks better IMO. I think I might have tried the gargoyle (etc) in something resembling their original colour rather than making them pink too. The sort of feeling I have in mind is almost as if they were a stud of some sort that has been pushed on/in to the skin.

Re: Custom Texture Thread.
These textures have no real meaning and remember it's not photoshop it's gimp ok . I decided to fool around with gimp and some bump mapping messed around with the filters once more this was what a freakish abominations i made:

This last one is just a seamless base marble texture feel free to use it if you need it:

I'll be right back later with more freakish stuff you can show your opinions on these just thought i would show em
