This is one of the reasons I was opposed to moving all the KDiZD stuff moved to a secret forum.

It's already been massively delayed twice, and now this -- all without the potential consumers (i.e., those of us who want to project but are unable to actually contribute) knowing or even having a hope of knowing.

If it is being announced as "dead in the water", at least have the decency to tell us so we can see if there's anything we can do.

Is that true? Please say it isn't so. I'm really looking forward to KDiZD. Randy's been pestered about updates recently. How about an update from the KDiZD team?

Yeah, that'd at least put our minds to rest. Afterall, many of the KDiZD team memebers have been on here recently.

heh, It seems that people do visit my site :)

KDiZD isin't quite "dead" yet. In fact, a lot of work has been done since I posted that little snippet. :)
heh, I knew it would work...

Just so you all know, a good portion of the team finally figured out that gameplay is extremly important. A lot of the over-fancy details have been removed for the sake of gameplay. So don't complain when it doesn't have OMG UB3R-1337 D374I1 everywhere like we touted so much.[/code]

It's been the intention to first concentrate on the detail, and then move on to gameplay afterwards for many months now :).

Well, at least we've forced a response out of you and heard that you're endeavouring to make the best of it. :D

how will removing detail make the gameplay better?

was it slowing it down, or making rooms too crowded, or what?

Looking at old screens, I'd say a combination of the two, though I don't kno for certain...

Because the detail, by all accounts of those that ah "tested" the "unintentional release" hindered movement, manuverability, and sight in some areas. And when you can't move round properly because of eye candy you have too much detail, its as simple as that.

Indeed. And it will.

The question is, what?

Changing the new weapons to DECORATE is obvious and fixing the skybox to work with GZDoom also.

Aside from that, should all be left as it is or should some minor changes be done? For example, I'd really like to get rid of the Snake Imps and shorten the arena battle by one or two waves. It just goes on far too long.
