My temporary 1-month ban is over, so I can finally shed light on the situation.
Short version for people who care only about the mod:
I deleted github repos for all my gdoom mods. This means you can't download them anymore.
There is a fork for this mod at least:
https://github.com/jankespro12/DoomDynMus, but the other mods are gone permanently.
It's not the latest version, it's missing some quality of life features like silent tracks and Russian translation done by Blueberry. But it works with the current format of music packs.
If you are worried about that, I give anyone who bothers full permission to maintain a fork of this mod (or upload a more recent version somewhere), a list of music packs, and anything else related to the mod.
Now for the reasoning and my thoughts:
Yes, this was a terrible move to just delete a mod people care about, and makes me an even bigger asshole than I already am, but I still had a reason.
Community is a big part of what makes the mod, really. It's the natural environment mods exists in, without it, my DoomDynMus would just be an archive with some other archives attached that contain illegaly downloaded music.
But not with the people that actively supported the mod by making more and more music packs. The original post is gigantic and filled with various OSTs to choose from only thanks to your efforts.
Yet I was becoming more and more dissatisfied with everything else outside this little bubble of a music mod. Of course I am talking about all that drama and utter moderation failure.
You can throw shit at the previous moderation team all you want (just remembering the debates about password length change which I participated in, and how the mod team reaction reeked of ignorance and lack of desire to improve the situation), it all became worse.
I admit, I suddenly brought up this shit with tips in Hideous Destructor out of nowhere. But that's because I didn't give it much thought back then. I just overlooked it, even though I said in HDest Discord that it disgusted me.
But when I rememberd it, I couldn't just sit on my arse and pretend nothing has happened. Yes, the tips are gone now. But it doesn't mean they never existed. They did exist, and this implied that this sick fuck called matt at one point of his life just told people of my nation to straight up go kill themselves.
And don't feed me the same bullshit over and over again. It was directed at soldiers, but it doesn't mean it's all volunteers (before you make another bullshit claim that it was done before mass conscriptions: there is a thing called mandatory military service which you have to undergo for 1 year, and there are thousands of people currently involved in the military operations because they have no choice). Even if my point is completely wrong, it doesn't mean all soldiers that went to war willingly are murderers, and it doesn't mean they should go and kill themselves. Some of them are defending their motherland, since there is a real threat to territorial integrity Russia is facing right now.
Again, don't tell me "oooooh but the tips are gone now!". Matt never apologized for this shit, just swept it under the rug. But guess what! The so-called "HDest community" was so busy licking matt's toes, it barely noticed anything. And after I brought this point up in HDest discord (overly eccentrically, I admit, but I had to get loud or it would get quitely deleted), very few people had admitted that matt did something wrong here.
But here we are, the tiny waves I formed in this giant lake are now gone, and it's perfectly still. Noone gives a shit. Instead, you can get straight up banned it you wrote the word "transgender" and didn't write a positive adjective before it. Like in the case of Pillowblaster.
Moderator team is yet to realize that they were covering a real, proven guilty pedophile for a whole fucking month. And they are yet to realize that has happened due to the "inclusive space" they created. No, noone threatens all the alphabet people on the Internet. The greatest threat that look-at-my-gender-fucks are facing right now is their own stupidity. They are making clowns of themselves on regular basis more than anyone else "opressing them". And if you support these delusional psychopaths that are borderline harmful to society, but straight up ignore clear nationalism, the only thing I can say is what I said to matt. Which is the reason I got banned for a month. Because I was "acting immature". Oh yes, of course. I admit, Cali, I didn't undertstand it was first, but I do now. In your mind, acting mature is being a cuck and coping with the fact I can't do shit on this platform, with the fact that many people will still suck matt off despite the fact he is the most disgusting human being I have ever got to know (and he deserves that title).
But I will not. Leaving is the least I can do, but I realized something. If I just move on with my live, that'd be much better, because I will not step down to that kind of level anymore, I will not steer some shitty drama, I will not waste my time trying to persuade some brainwashed freaks that they're in the wrong. If the platform I am using doesn't allow me to write "you told my people to kys, go fuck yourself, retard", than I don't wanna use this platform. Period.
Even if it was the most Internet fame or recognition I got in my entire life, I don't regret moving on. I finally realized, after being a fucking retard for my entire life, that's my goal in life is different than that, less petty than that. Even if anything I create will get zero views and zero attention, I don't care. Because I will be free from all this shit, I will be free to do and speak what's on my mind, instead of patheticly probing the ground for landmines.
