Why not upload it to MediaFire instead of RapidShare? MediaFire is a much better file hosting site than others I have tried, including RapidShare.

The RapidShare link boots me out of downloading the file with the error "Please stop flooding our download servers.".

I downloaded the file, i couldn't play it without lag, i had to put the no monsters flag on, and use the freeze command, i at least looked at the architeture, great work!
Also, this wad + white fog = Silent Hill in Doom

I know that if I accidentally load up a map missing all its textures it takes ages to load. In this case it must just be the sheer size of the map - can't wait to try it

Ugh...
The map is completely unplayable on my system with frequent frame rate drops below 10. It looks incredible but what does it help if playing this thing is close to impossible?
Also, some people apparently cannot bothered to read console logs. This thing is throwing more errors than all other WADs I loaded this year together. So if something breaks, you know why...
Finally, Rapidshare == fail. Why are people still using that site? It has gone down the drain completely by now.

Well, I've finally managed to get a speedyshare download started but it's really slow. Estimate is 4 hours. My connection will probably break at some time during that.
Interestingly however:
This file has been downloaded 4511 times.
That seems helluva high for a just-released Doom WAD. It would explain the limits on the file download though.
[edit] Gah! as expected, my shitty internet connection failed at only 7.5MB, the download reset and now speedyshare is busy again. I guess I'll have to try tomorrow. [/edit]

This is gonna be tricky...first it took ages to load. Then to start with I have to pop notarget on and run around outside the house to deal with the nearest large non-standard sized textures (which my card takes a lag spike to render for the first time) then return to the house and start proper. Once I do, I can't save because it always crashes (with no error log, usually it's a "failed to alloc xxxxxxx bytes" and should be since it only happens after seeing the mobs), then after 200 or so kills I went round a corner a bit further away from the house (that I hadn't been round previously) and got a failed alloc crash anyway.
Will try again tomorrow night, but it may take a while if I have to start testing for save points...
