Actually, I'm going one of two directions with this.
Either A: A fighting game style character select screen, where a portrait pops up once you scroll over them, or B: It pops up after a victory in Duel/DM/LMS/etc, also fighting game style, to show who won using what hero. Maybe with a pithy victory quote!

Worked on a complete rewrite of my ACS-based random dungeon generator algorithm when I should have been in bed 6 hours ago... @_@ Brain won't stop thinking.

It's varied, that's for sure - but most colors seem to have a very sharp cutoff to black. (Which can look quite awkward.)
So it kind of depends on what kind of stuff you're gonna use it for.

Also, move the outwards part of the "P" up a pixel, man - if I look at the "(P)aused" in the explosion, it looks like a Q. (While otherwise looking like a D. o_O)

SethBling's awesome so I wonder why he dropped the ball on this one. Probably forgot hoppers stop working altogether when powered.

And i never see videos covering this for some reason.
