Pity, there was some good stuff offered through that.
To be fair they were going through a lot of repeats, and the program had slowed down to one new game every several months...already gone were the days they'd toss you a copy of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit or The Sims 2.

Please don't do discussions in this thread. The discussion has been split into a new thread.

Tactical multiplayer FPS Insurgency is free for 48 hours, and for some reason the steam bbcode widget isn't a fan of that. Regardless, grab it and keep it.

Orwell is free on the humble store for 2 days

EDIT:
Okay I just noticed this. There are redemption deadlines on the humble store. I've been hoarding a bunch of these free keys waiting to see if one of my friends would want it, or by some miracle I feel like playing them. I don't recall ever being told there was a deadline until now, when my most recent email contained this information... and to my horror, it's not a new feature, as when i go to reveal the other keys ive stashed it says they were expired months ago.

They don't owe me anything but it would've been nice to be told. I don't know if the keys still work if you saved them locally, but the website won't give them out.

They did, on the page they emailed you where you get your key.

Too bad I didn't think to click "download now" for a game I didn't want to install (yet, or possibly ever)

It also says it on the email they send you.

No you didn't. There's still several hours left. Unless they stopped giving out free copies before the timer died?? Just got mine 20 mins ago.
