Hello again, time for another MoM Monster Update!
Today we have the Ghost; Different from the previous enemies for two main reasons; The first one is that its the first projectile based enemy I am showing off, the second being a plot aspect!
The Ghost is not an Etheral Being as you expect to be, as it is actually lovingly hand crafted by stone by the evil entity that threatens the world of magic; you will quickly realize that in fact, a lot of the creatures the hero will face are actually stone sculptures and inanimate objects brought to life. This aspect of the creatures origins the heroes will be facing are in fact the “trademark” of the Main VIllain, which I will go into more detail with in the future!
The Ghost is inspired by the Poes from OoT and Wind Waker, and I tried to incorporate that into the ghosts design. They are 3 Variations of the Ghost, with the one right here being the standard version!
PlayerLin wrote:Oh, I LOVE that cute animated Slime...looks so adorable.
I wonder the strength of monsters are fixed or dynamic by player's status?

Actually, I do have an idea on how to adjust the difficulty of the game, but I will be going into detail with that on a future date!

Hello Again, Today I will be showcasing the Roper!
Heavily inspired by the Ropers of shining in the Darkness and Tower of Druaga, this roper is a bit of a tricky enemy. They fade in and out of the players view, and when faded out, they move at double speed, making them quite dangerous. When face to face with a Roper, they do constant damage as they drain your life away with their tentacles. Another creature made of a jelly sludge substance like the Slime, this creature has a few extra ingredients to set it apart from its Smaller, Squishier Counter Parts.
They are 3 kinds of Ropers, that come in a variety of colors with different effects to their draining; these guys can all be quite dangerous as they can pop out of nowhere if you don’t keep your eyes peeled!

They throw fireballs in a 5 way split, with the ghost variats having different effects applied to them on contact!

Okay yeah if you're not feeling up to some monster raising spin-off after all the work on this main game, I'll definitely have to see about getting permission to work on one myself as a mod.

Hello Again, time for another Monster Update!
Time for the Muscle in the Evil Horde; One of the top ranking monsters in the Monster Horde, this creature here is the Golem. An Experimental Creature from the Evil Entity, this creature is actually a Parasitic Eyeball creature that infects rocks, allowing rocky surfaces to be mailable like clay in motion, but to everything that interacts with it, its hard as stone, making it essentially a living chunk of rocks. You can actually see this in motion in the animation; you may notice the rock cracks in its body morph slightly with every step it takes!
These creatures are namely dangerous due to their high health points, and the ability to shoot their fists out as rockets, making them simple, yet very dangerous enemies to fight. When defeated, you can see the parastic eyeball pop out from the remains of its corpse!
This enemy is a mix between the golems from the Dragonquest series, and the Yellow Devil From Megaman. The Top of its head is supose to give it the appearance of a castle!
Also, thank you all for your support here so far!
Quite a few of you guys sent me notes saying they are excited for this project/been keeping an eye on it since day one (some of which are quite surprising, as they are from very talented modders here!)
I can't wait until I can actually show the meat of this project. After I am done showcasing these monsters, I will be making a new Game Showcase to showcase all the new changes thus far, before focusing on actual area building and what not!

Nice touch with those brick-y textures! and along with the yellow devil design, it's also reminds me of stone man as well!
anyway since you said it's most dangerous minions in this game, it would be more dangerous if it can stomp the ground and making a short ranged but powerful shockwave when the player is near to it!

One of; he's one of the top 5. However, they is currently 2 that are much more stronger then the golems, and those are very late game enemies.

Hello Again, and here’s the second last monster I will be showcasing in this Series of Monster Showcase! (I will probably do more down the line, but I am pretty sure I should save a few surprises!)
Today I will be showcasing the Knight Enemy, which come in two versions; Black Knights, and White Knights. Both of these enemies are nearly identical; they both are invincible from the front side; most attacks will bounce off their protective force field in front of them, and they all have a melee attack that cuts your defense in half. You must attack them from behind to deal damage to these Powerful Knights!
Story Wise, the Black Knights are not living creatures; they are animated pieces of armor. Black knights have Twice as much health as White Knights, too. On the other hand, White Knights are living creature, although the creature that is in the armor is not specified (Could be a human, lizardman, birdman, who knooows!). White Knights serve as the police force in this game for any crime you commit. Killing any Innocent Civillians will spawn 3 White Knights; and Killing a White Knight will Spawn another 3 White Knights, so they is no way to defeat white knights in retrospect! (However, Running away and avoiding them for awhile will make them despawn).
I will see you all tomorrow for the last monster showcase for this run of monster showcasing!

Sounds legit, since you said they're more like guards in TES5:Skyrim but they'll keep re-spawning endlessly if you try to do crime thing, I like that...
Also, I hope the Dark Knights may can be more visible(?) if they placed on dark area, it seems they'll not easy to noticeable for me... I don't know, maybe its shades made me think that...
Can't wait to see actual Gameplay showcasing of this mod.
