Check your Earthquake shake intensity in GZD's Display Options.

is there some documentation that explains what each of the options actually does? some of them are very self explanatory but what does responsive weapons do exactly?
Edit. apparently i am completely blind and didnt see the descriptions at the top of the screen that tells you what the options do

Apologies for lack of responses, I'll look into adding some of the requests when I get a lil time.

Yeah, it's still working here for me in LZDoom also.

Could you speed up the fire animation for the plasma rifle?

Tweaked a little more.

Link in OP.

I don't see a difference when selecting classic muzzle? Doesn't work with pistol? I'm using black gloves.

Working here on LZDoom, I checked the latest GZD and its working there also. The pistol difference is subtle but it's there.

Thank you a lot! I cannot express my gratitude.

Speaking of the "Responsive weapons" option, is it just my brain playing tricks on me or it doesn't actually affect the fire rate of Pistol & Shotgun, as of the latest version? Switching between weapons does become faster, though.

An option to bump up Chaingun rate of fire to that of its Doom 64 counterpart would be a welcome addition methinks. After playing a few hours of Unseen Evil across a bunch of Doom II wads, the D64 chaingun feels so much better, now I understand why they introduced that change in D64.

This is a feature that carried over from original SWE, from what I can tell is it just removes the 3 tic delay between pressing fire and when the hitscan pellets are actually fired. The delay is normal vanilla behaviour and it's very minor but it is noticeable. I may split this feature into two options, one of the quicker switch and the other for the delay removal.

I do like this idea, I'll look into adding an option for it when I get a lil time.

Oh, now I do feel the difference! I mistakenly thought the option would significantly (like 20% or something) speed up the whole reload cycle.

How would you like the idea of such purely cosmetical options as

- Plasma rifle always triggers gibbing (no actual gibbing occurs unless the target originally has a separate ‘violent death’ mode or has been modded to have one, which is just three creatures in vanilla doom)

- same for rocket launcher

- same for individual BFG tracers

- same for point blank SSG shots (???)
