Being completely honest, I can see why they dropped the old fonts to put the ones we know and love.

EGA SS surrendering needed a VGA counterpart.

I might use those for a mod I am working on...

You may want to describe what the download is in your post so that people can find the old font via search.

Jimmy, what is the difference between the text WAD on page 2 and page 1?

There's kerning in the new one.
Re: [Resources] Doom Source Art 1993-1994
The new wad actually features three slightly different versions:
KCFONT = original (monospaced) font, unedited except for a new "6" provided by Xaser
KCFONTK = kerned properly, with vertical cropping, minor consistency edits
KCFONTK2 = same as above but with -1 kerning space
I think I'll put this up on R667's Font Press.

I've updated the file with the extra graphics Romero released - the cut rotations for the Player and the three possessed enemy types!

And this is the part where most custom soldiers get outdated.

Re: [Resources] Doom Source Art 1993-1994 (Updated)
John posted missing attack/other frames that some of us were looking for ages for..
Can't wait to see what else John posts that is from those enemy sprites.
EDIT: Seems I'm a little late, heh.
EDIT 2: Has anyone taken the liberty of putting the rotations into a WAD file yet?
