It gets me thinking... could you in theory do that with any map that has a horseshoe layout? :shock:

EDIT: It really works too well for E1M1 to be a one-off, although the height factor can definitely be a problem (in E1M1's case the exit room is 24 mapunits below the starting room). You could easily make the exit room an elevator or set of stairs, though.

Sorry for going off-topic a little but...Please explain me something. Wasn't Doom:One supposed to be a remake of the entirety of The Ultimate Doom in the same vein that Memorial.wad is of Doom 2, but uses ZDoom features and misses the point of Memorial.wad entirely? Also what's with the SSG in a Towerl of Babel remake? Muh immersion has been ruined

Now, I just checked the Doomworld thread of (KDi)²ZD, and allow me to comment on two things: One, we certainly have a strong contender for Mordeth award here :wink: and two, I saw that this is going to be Doom2.exe compat, but due to the longevity of this project I'm not quite sure about this bit of info. So what's is going to be in the end; Doom2.exe + DeHackEd, or Boom + DEH compat?
