The same could be said about going full-auto in vanilla strife rather than using "short, controlled bursts".

Anyway, I think I'm going to start work on an update for this. :)

BTW, I'm planning on making the acolytes reload their assault guns just as the player does, to make them a bit less deadly. Any objections?

Small update.

I think all of the weapons work properly now, with the exception that I still haven't gotten the mini-missile launcher to function quite the way I intended. :roll:

Alright, well.

Aside from unloading an entire clip into someone, the pistol seems far more useful than the assault rifle.
Love what you did with the electric crossbow, even if it does make those turrets murder you. Maybe add a 1-tic delay before they fire in their pain states?

I'll give more when I get further.

I like how you can keep your foot held out for an indefinite period of time and just run around like that using it as a chainsaw.

Yeah... I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that.

About the pistol; what should I do about it? Only things I can think of short of removing it are making the player actually have to find/buy it or decrease its damage. I personally don't find it more or less useful than the assault gun.

Without making it useless, it's impossible to make it less useful until late game. Reducing the damage will help, but overall the early assault rifle is too crappy too not be easily overshadowed.

Especially with rapid fire, which makes the thing hard to control.
