Downloaded this, played it, and you owe me news eyes, because mine burned to ashes of how stupid this thing is

Seriously, those models rips, was said above, are more pixelated and ugly than that "ugly duke nukem 3D" sprites that you say so much, the shotgun looks like that it's peeking around some corner, just like in Operation 7, but way more ugly
Also, how many times i saw a Duke Nukem 3D based wad? :|

althought i tried that once, but abandoned the idea

edit: At first, I thought this was just another newb who didn't know any better, and we could maybe, y'know, fix him up, but after actually reading the Doomworld thread, I see that he's a lost cause. A pity, really.

well, we gotta show some compassion. i'm sure alot of people here have damning mental problems and/or inner demons. :trippy:
he did do alot of work, he should prolly direct it to something unique.

Well, let's see...
  • I'm pretty sure this very conversion of Duke 3D's first two levels had already been done somewhere else before; I unfortunately don't have the "original" version to compare this to so I can't determine the extent to which this may or may not have been lifted.
  • The (banned) user mathey bu, I believe, did a conversion of several Duke 3D HRP models - I don't have those on hand either (thus can't compare it), but there may be a possibility those were lifted as well (though I don't say that with certainty).
  • In retrospect, I have a sneaking suspicion I've seen the laser tripbombs done in the exact same way as this before, but again, I have nothing to prove with.
So yeah, all I've got are a lot of theories and no evidence - but many times in the past have I seen someone pass off someone else's work as their own.

I know i've seen the behavior before, so I went digging around in the wad file. All of the decorate seems to be taken from this mod.

I have a feeling the author isn't comming back anytime soon.

And if he does, he's got a lot to answer for, evidently. I looked around for Doom conversions of the Hollywood Holocaust level, and it seems this one bears the most similarity to what the OP's WAD contains. I'll investigate further once I've done some poking around with a WAD editor.

EDIT: Never mind that, I'm decidedly off the mark on that one. *The Court administers a penalty to Weasel.*
