This has served to remind me what a unique and atmospheric mod CAH is. It's quite stunning, and quite cold and chilling - and I don't just mean because of the snow in the game. Amusingly, right on schedule, we have just had a heavy fall of snow outside in real life so it's doubly atmospheric. I love all the enhancements that have been added since the last version. As ever, I find it a very hard mod to play though.

The bandages and reloading are fiddly. They make a tough mod tougher. As a suggestion, perhaps the easy settings could be tweaked to lessen the impact of these features?

And now to my problem... I'm stuck. :( On map07 I seem to need to find 9 access codes, but I've been wandering around for ages and only found 8. I haven't had to fight a monster for ages. I even switched on noclip and criss-crossed the map north to south and east to west covering every square inch of the base and have not found access code number 9. I also resorted to checking the map in DeePsea. If the access code items are ednum 10098 (not sure that they are) there are only 8 on the map. Is it me?

You get the last code when you read a specific set of notes. It's not a pickup item like the others.

:D Thank you! I must have missed a note.

EDIT: Might wanna align the textures in the underwater area of the "Housing" http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=311ly6c&s=4

I think I'll fix the issues mentioned by tonight and re-upload again. The link will work now, but I've got a couple things to tweak with the reload code.

Graf, any specifics on what you did to the double shotgun?

I personally think the manual reload, player speed, bandages, and other things are what make this unique. It's hard, I'll admit, but at the same time it's incredibly fun.

@Nash and anyone else having troubles downloading from my mirror;
If I've done this right, this torrent should work. I think I've got the tracker software working, just try ;)

You really don't want to know. It'd be too disappointing.

Bagh! Why not just cheat yourself up a BFG while you're at it? :)

I increased its damage a bit and cut reload times on everything, plus made them automatic reloads when you run out of ammo (which is actually how the original version was).

I'm going to keep bleeding, but the chance is lower if you're playing at anything but the hardest difficulty. Also, I fixed the skybox problems.

I'll upload a new version soon.

Huh, I guess I enjoyed the fiddles. I did find the super shotgun more powerful than the pump-action, though, and somewhat easier. :| Per shell it did more damage, it did reload faster -- damn near to the point where it became my weapon of choice for most of the game.
As for people who found the bleeding off annoying: I only played on HMP, but I find that pretty real. Take cover at any chance you can, even if it means running around an enemy mob to seek out sanctuary. 10%, 100%, doesn't matter, always take care of yourself. I took a lot of damage but with the use of cover and keeping mobile, I made sure to use the ample supply of bandages well, too. Sure, if you're knocked down to very low health and you're bleeding out to death, that's to be expected. Consider it your last chance to take down a couple demons in that span because you can't save yourself then. :)

Again, I had a blast. I guess I'm a sucker for "interesting" mechanics.

Deathman: For the gods' sakes, put those images in Spoiler tags!

Jalla - Thanks, but now it seems that my crappy (but thankyfully temporary) ISP appears to disable any form of peer to peer... your torrent isn't moving even one bit. :/

Well it looks like the Rapidshare link is working now.

I really hope you release the ACS as well, so that if I don't like the game's mechanics, I can fix them myself...

Has J5 reuploaded and Jalla remirrored yet? I didn't try the latest download, just Jalla's mirror, and hopefully I got all the latest stuff J5 said he tweaked.

Edit: Rofl I tried to SL style move the camera into the cockpit just now.
