UDMF, yes. Hexen format, not even once. Doom format, GTFO.

Custom textures, there will be a set created for the mod that is to be used. Otherwise, make it look like the source map you're basing your circuit on (ie the textures used in the original map).

Palette, yes. Stick to the Doom palette as this supports software ZDoom and your true colour images may not mix down to 8-bit nicely.

Wow. Amazing how ideas can come to life from a single image. I'll try to think of a way to pitch in.

Hmm, I was going to do Inmost Dens, but that's between Downtown and Suburbs.
How close to these have to be to the original maps?

The order doesn't particularly matter that they're presented in (except for the Doom 1 cups, and the Icon of Sin).

The idea is that they don't match the maps exactly. Make a good circuit with areas from the original map in mind, then make it look recognisably similar to the original map.

Alright, I´ll make the refinery map (E2M3) for the second Doom 1 Cup. This is software friendly, right? so no super mega awesome portals and 3d floors spam all over the map.

OK thanks, I'll see what I can do then.

Well, despite the fact that other projects are still running at the moment which aren't even finished (HPack e.g.) this is so fucking interesting that I am willing to join as a mapper (Phobos Base Race 2, not sure which one yet) and graphics artist :) I am dreaming of this kind of project since I had my hands on Super Mario Kart the first time and playing around with "Zoom" years ago... this might be interesting :)

Well. Seeing as the map slots are getting nabbed this quickly. Let me take the "Downtown" slot aswell before anyone else nabs it. Really want to do that one!

Good to see the response so far! I'll update the first post later tonight and we can start filling map slots.

Putting myself down for Hell Keep. Was going to claim Erebus but I'd only end up making the Playstation version :P

I played barely anything but Mario Kart 8 lately, so I feel this project calls out for me. Sign me up for Bloodfalls! :P

Yeah, I've got ideas for Erebus. I have no idea what the PS1 version looks like though (will Google it I guess).

Hm... I'd like to claim Entryway or Tower of Babel (or maybe both), if they're still free.

This has potential to be the greatest thing ever.
