I'd assume you could yank something from OpenRA. Maybe just use the tiny dude sprites from the Classic C&C games for that extra absurd flare? Their perspective might be a little off, though.
EDIT: XWE may be able to open old Westwood .mix files if OpenRa still uses them, which it might. Running a mod with OpenRa downloads the original .mix files in an easily accessible directory.
