I'm new to modding Doom and stuff, but how do you even use these in-game as weapon sprites?

You can use an editor (such as Slade3) to import the individual sprites you want, to actually see them in-game, it might require some code. There are plenty of useful tutorials for beginners. (Notably wildweasel's GunLabs tutorials) If you want to know more, you should want to post somewhere else.

Here's a Strife hand recolor I made, it came out a bit too dark though:

SLUMPED. if you have a problem with your computer durning starting slade, and don't underestimate it. it's pretty useful sometimes.

Go to Zdoom wiki or Wildweasel's site, they have great tutorials.

Slade technically IS SLumpEd, just vastly improved.

Speaking of poster-boys; I wonder how this guy would look in sprite form...

for thatposterboy-DooMII guy sheet, surely a simple shotgunguy head edit would do?

imo the shotgunguy would've been a better candidate for a base to make the sprite with, as his clothing and body shape seem to suit the guy on the cover more than doomguy's sprite does.
