Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Castle Saria is in the works on a FTB Ultimate server. I should take a few reference pictures of the castle from SL so I have fewer issues building it, maybe it'll help some of the lag I'm getting looking in certain directions on the server.

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
going through different Mother soundtrack CDs over here.
the Mother 1 one seems to be the best and "flashiest" one. tons of vocal covers, and 8 Melodies got a complete workover. i thought it'd make sense for the exact same CD to appear on Mother 1+2, since apparently fans wanted that to happen. but nope, it's ALL instrumental covers now, for some reason. big disappointment there, could have saved me quite a bit of money if it did. that's not to say the instrumentals are bad, but not what i was looking for.
i haven't found any Mother 2 soundtrack CD anywhere, but apparently, it's all original music from the game, save for 3 bonus tracks. so another huge disappointment there, since i could just get an SPC rip of the whole thing instead.
the Mother 3 one is better than the Mother 1+2 CD, and the Mother 2, but not as great as the Mother 1 CD. it contains one vocal cover (the famous Love Theme), and an instrumental version of it. the rest are some pretty good instrumental covers of famous songs from the game. my only gripe is that all of the D.C.M.C. songs does NOT use an acoustic bass, but rather, an electric one. it makes the songs lose a bit of what kept it going. but all-in-all, the album is really damn solid enough to make up for it.
to sum it up, the CDs go in this order of value for me: Mother 1 > Mother 3 > Mother 1+2 > Mother 2, the only real disappointment lying in the Mother 2 CD, because it's all original music from the game, save for those bonus tracks it has, and the Mother 1+2 one for not including the original Mother 1 CD on it.
edit: is there a way to convert MIDI files to a FTM project file? the built-in one in Famitracker is broke-ass shit, and not very reliable at all. it would save a lot of headache on my end if i could import MIDIs to it.

It really is great. It's why I refer to "use fail" sounds as "Nope"s.Nash wrote:Strife's NOPE sound cracks me up omg

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Finally finished some business regarding a new computer. One of the case fans doesn't work, I didn't have internet for a day, and the HDD died so I had to buy a new one, but it's finally done. Can run Skyrim on ultra with 4xAA, haven't tried other settings. May not be the best, but it's a nice little setup for its price. (This keyboard is hard to get used to though)

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Speaking of case fans. Lately I've noticed my computer's fans are noisier than usual. Though it might just be my imagination.

I have recently just started a SSB fangame using MUGEN. Also I am including 6 new characters to replace the sandbags.

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
A crash led me to diagnosing my minecraft mods to make sure they were all okay. Thankfully it only corrupted two config files that I never edited... and all of this while I was trying to add Chemcraft compatibility so I had more uu-matter recipes for a mod or two.
Now the only question is.... do I go more solars, start on ME network, or go MFR MINING LASER?!?!?! I'm thinking ME system, autoprocessing is awesomesause.

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Welplings. Moved to a new place, and I'm not going to have internet access at home (sans phone) until the 10th since that's the earliest date I'm available to get installed (that Time Warner will let me choose... ughness).
In other news, Moving is weird.

BTW Xaser I just realized recently you're on Github and you forked ZDoom for some reason.

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
I noticed that I was somehow still using a Slade 3.0.1 alpha (might've been a beta, either way I can swear I,d updated not that long ago) and thinking that the update was a fairly risk free procedure, I went ahead and updated without making a backup. Now windows won't run Slade 3.x at all and it's too late for me to want to putz with it.
