For those following the thread for progress posts, Here's a sneak peak at my progress on my DUMP map so far. Still laying out the first "stage" of the level; the door at the top is a red key door that will lead to the second part of the map. I wanted to try something I haven't before for this one: My previous maps have all utilized mostly-square geometrically shaped corridors, and while I think that's fine and it looks good, I wanted to see what making more organically shaped areas is like! It turns out, it's pretty fun.
I am recording all of my mapmaking, I'll probably put out a timelapse of me making the map when it's all finished.

I'm kinda curious how that'd come about, anyway, since the correct way (by my reckoning) to make a TEXTURES lump would be to write one up from scratch, only defining the new textures in it. (I mean, I guess you can - and probably should - use SLADE's TEXTURES GUI once you've defined at least one texture in the file, too.) Are that many people seriously converting TEXTURE1 to TEXTURES and working from there? If you're just trying to extract an archive, just get 7zip.

Insert a thing; change its type with Ctrl-T to Teleports → Teleport Destination; give it a TID; pick a line; make the line's special Teleporters → Teleport; give it the thing's TID as the first arg; make sure it triggers on cross and is repeatable; done.Deviluke Roy wrote:However, maybe it might be better to learn how to make teleporters in slade 3.
