What irks you that you see some Doom players do?

For me it must be in situations like Doom's E1M1 in the starting armor room. I always see people running over the two armor pickups above the stairs before picking up the armor.

If you don't get the above, basically the security armor can only be picked up below 100 armor, but sets your armor to 100 when picked up. So picking up armor beforehand is wasted.

E2M8 does not give you cell ammo and expects you to land direct rocket hits, which still do a nice amount of damage. Not as much as on a baron, but still decent nonetheless.

Bro, in E3M8 you can literally rush the map in 10 seconds by just pointblanking a BFG on Mastermind's face, and in E2M8 you just spam everything besides rocket in Cyberdemon.

Anyway, i'm talking in overall aspect, the vanilla maps have their uses for Cyberdemon and Mastermind, but i mean in megawads, specially in coop/survival matches in Zandronum, tons of players do this mistake.

not an option if you're doing pistol starts, though. in both e2m8 and e3m8 you have to use rockets, though you do get a small bit of plasma on e3m8. Not enough for a kill though

• Not switching to the earlier, less wasteful weapons for weak, easy kills.
• Related to the above: Using SSG 24/7.
• Standing around and letting enemies shoot them. Why.
• Not saving ever, then complaining about lost progress. (But that annoys me with any game people do this in.)
