What Doomguy "name" do you prefer?

Just a random question I'd ask a bunch of Doomers because... How many names has this guy been called now?

I always go with one of those 3 names:

-Doomguy
-The Doom marine
-Flynn Taggart

Thats the ones i usually go with,never heard of Stan or John or Buddy tough,where those come from ?

am i wrong or Buddy Decoate was not doomguy name but instead the name of an ally in the Doom Bible that dies at some point of the story when DOOM was still in alpha?

The Doom Marine. Simplistic. Literally, it is very descriptive (he's the marine from Doom game). After the Doom 4, it turned into a very badass title (the marine that brings Doom upon Hell)

Doomguy. Flynn Taggart refers to the guy in the Doom novels which had a very different story than the game.

Stan Blaskowitz Blaskowicz always seemed a bit more official to me since he was in Doom (2?) RPG with Doomguy's face, so that's my opinion on his real name. Plus having a whole family line of ass-kickers (BJ/Keen/Doomguy) is too cool.
Although for our purposes, I usually just call him Doomguy.

B.J. is more-or-less-canonical ancestor of Billy, so it would make sense if Our Hero is also part of this power family. (Quakeguy isn't related, he's just brain damaged from jumping into ceilings too much.)

I actually prefer John Grimm when it comes down to the Doom Marine name for my mods.
