That is the laser sight from the Terminator Hardballer, by Nosehair. I wonder why people usually associates that weapon with me (it was done more than once before).
Nevertheless, good edit Yukes.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
FINALLY! after a LONG TIME, I finally finished the main sprites!
Here we have Hiro Hamada for Zdoom, the main sprites have him holding the 4th doctor's Sonic Screwdriver.
He replaces the Doomguy Marine.
His shirt is green because for players, green is what allows you to change the marine's colors.
the Walking frames took 4 days, the shooting frames took me 2 days, the pain sprites took me 2 hours, the Death sprites took me 3 days, the exploding into gibs took me 3 months, the 'death by dalek' sprites took me 40 minutes.
I used this as the main source for the 4th walking frame, then once I built the front frame out of it, I did all the other frames with few to no guides: http://davitsu.deviantart.com/art/Hiro- ... -507894620 WITH CREDIT TO BE GIVEN. Oh, wait, I already told the guy I was doing this.
Editors used to make these:
Photofiltre to resize the original sprite from the deviantart
everything else...
MICROSOFT PAINT!!! YES! I made all of those sprites in that amount of time using ONLY Microsoft PAINT!!!
EDIT: HAIR FIX, CENTER HAIR WAS REVERSED.
CREDIT:
Hiro Hamada: Disney, Himself
Doom: ID Software
Original Sprite: Davistu
Full Sprites: Me
I also Posted this to Deviantart. as is where I wrote the original info.: http://alexself-apocalypse9.deviantart. ... -613338485

good to see that you're using very good tools for the jobadamaH_oriH wrote:MICROSOFT PAINT!!! YES! I made all of those sprites in that amount of time using ONLY Microsoft PAINT!!!
it would be a shame to waste so much time learning a proper pixel pushing program

Crappy Blue wand make from an old cartoon screenshot.. Needs hell of a polish... Maybe some fire frames.
Waaaaaay too cartoony for normal usage.. Then again.. A cartoon screenshot was used for reference anywho.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Haven't done any sprites in a while so I decided to touch up on my Freezer Rifle featured in Project Brutality.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
But MS Paint is good... for basic sprite editing. No extra software required. I probably wouldn't ever try to make sprites from scratch using it unless they were to be very simple. I use MS Paint very frequently when working with sprites.Blox wrote:good to see that you're using very good tools for the jobadamaH_oriH wrote:MICROSOFT PAINT!!! YES! MS Paint is good but obviously limited. Besides, layers make things a lot easier.Nevander wrote:But MS Paint is good... for basic sprite editing. No extra software required. Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
They're pretty basic, but the fact that you did rotations for each sprite is cool. I usually only do the front sprites Try using Paint.net to tidy it up a bit: http://www.dotpdn.com/files/paint.net.4.0.9.install.zipadamaH_oriH wrote:Spoiler:

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Upscaling the hand to the size of the weapon makes it look like garbage. Scale down the weapon to the size of the hand. This isn't rocket appliances.enderkevin13 wrote:

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
what i don't get with ms paInt is that it kills transparency in images, even to this day. at least the image quality isn't actively worsened if you turn a png to jpg in it now, i guess.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
i do not like it when i'm using it. but without it, it's quite simple and good program. especially if you have artistic talents or such.
and hey, i just made this sprite with using mspaint(thxs to pixlr for extra help). Your first sniper support, now begin with energetically, with this railgun!
