It'd be so freakin' awesome to recreate a stripped-down version of DOOM in Doom II... I'm currently looking up ways with which I can do this.

I've searched the world over (read: two or three cursory Google searches) for this "triple minigun", and have found nothing - it's only relevant to me since the weapon was supposedly inspired by Project Brutality's Triple Chaingun...which is itself taken wholesale from my own mod, X-Weapon (which was an extensive modification of wildweasel's Accessories To Murder - I just took his R-53 Chaingun, added two additional barrel groups, rotated them around during firing and movement, and scrubbed "R-53" off of it).
Basically, is there really a triple chaingun in DOOM? Because as much as I don't want to be "that guy"...I want to know if my (edited) sprite set influenced the weapon in the new Doom (shameless ego stroke, but as a longtime hardcore Doom fanboy...wouldn't you want to know if you basically put a weapon in an official Doom game?).
Yes, the new Doom does have a tripple barrel chaingun, which I believe is the mobile turret upgrade? Which looks very similar to this, except what THE HELL I thought I cleaned up the white specks... Oh well, you get the point. The primary fire acts just like your chaingun in X-Weapon. The barrel that holds the three barrels that are spinning also spins.

When you hit the alt-fire button, it holds you in place some-what ish (I think?) and your other three barrels come out in a turret-like position.
