It'd be so freakin' awesome to recreate a stripped-down version of DOOM in Doom II... I'm currently looking up ways with which I can do this. :)

I've searched the world over (read: two or three cursory Google searches) for this "triple minigun", and have found nothing - it's only relevant to me since the weapon was supposedly inspired by Project Brutality's Triple Chaingun...which is itself taken wholesale from my own mod, X-Weapon (which was an extensive modification of wildweasel's Accessories To Murder - I just took his R-53 Chaingun, added two additional barrel groups, rotated them around during firing and movement, and scrubbed "R-53" off of it).

Basically, is there really a triple chaingun in DOOM? Because as much as I don't want to be "that guy"...I want to know if my (edited) sprite set influenced the weapon in the new Doom (shameless ego stroke, but as a longtime hardcore Doom fanboy...wouldn't you want to know if you basically put a weapon in an official Doom game?).

It's a tri-barrel turret mode. Effectively you stick on two extra barrels to the damn thing and hold it front and center as you utterly mow down everything in your path, at the cost of mobility because it almost roots you down. This will take you to a weapon demonstration video in the first campaign map.

Yes, the new Doom does have a tripple barrel chaingun, which I believe is the mobile turret upgrade? Which looks very similar to this, except what THE HELL I thought I cleaned up the white specks... Oh well, you get the point. The primary fire acts just like your chaingun in X-Weapon. The barrel that holds the three barrels that are spinning also spins.

Yes, it's the mobile turret upgrade. Primary still works just like the standard chaingun, which fires slowly at first, but builds up speed with continuous fire. It doesn't spin the individual mini-miniguns while in that collapsed state, though. Then you can expand it to make it fire three times as fast, with each individual mini-minigun.

Those sprites look sexy as heck. :D

I'd just like to say that these weapon sprites are still being developed and the ones visible on the front page can be seen as the 'beta' sprites. Most of the weapons are receiving cosmetic changes and the combat shotgun for example, has been re done so that it looks more like the one in the new DOOM. Every weapon except for the chainsaw, pistol, SSG, BFG and MP weapons will have two attachments and appropriate animations for each one. I am hoping to finish them soon because I would really like everyone to see the work that myself and others have been doing behind the scenes to make an awesome weapons mod.

New idea for this sprites - weapon replace pack for Project Brutality.

1. Fists.
1.1. Chainsaw.
2. Pistol.
2.1. Dual Wield Pistol(when got extra pistol from zombie).
3. Shotgun (with upgrades).
3.1. SSG.
4. Machinegun aka H.A.R. (Heavy Assault Rifle) (with upgrades).
4.1. Chaingun (with mobile turret).
5. Rocket Launcher.
6. Plasma rifle.
7. BFG.
8. Gauss Cannon.

Weapons you can find on the level and from killed zombies. Also, zombies can hold the upgraded versions of weapons, with small chances, but on big levels, with lot of enemies, like Maps Of Chaos, you may collect all weapons with all upgrades. In this case, when you kill him - from him will drop the upgrade. And like in PB, you can find upgrades on the levels, in the secret area.
Explosive shells upgrade will have alt-fire like auto-shotgun or HE fragmentation grenade launcher in PB.
Upgraded machine gun will shoot with mini missiles with the 0.5 damage from rocket launcher.
Other features will be like in PB except reloading - it is not needed.

It's mine, but I highly recommend not using these. The new Doom chaingun had more of a dark gray-ish tone rather than a super happy anime white kind of tone, just like my Doom 2016 plasma rifle I made a while ago. Had the same problem too.

Somehow, I actually like the look - always wanted to do a complete set somewhere along those lines.

I haven't done any fists because there aren't really any fists in DOOM '16 as a selectable weapon, and there are already plenty of good fist sprites out there. The same goes for grenades; I made grenade pickup sprites but no hud sprites because grenades are not selectable. You can still implement grenades but it would just be a quick button press that makes doomguy lob a grenade - which is why I included a sprite sheet with hands in it for people to use.

Also, the chain gun sprites have just been completed and yes - there will be a mini turret mod.

I took the pistol sprites and injected some DECORATE in it. Its kind of rough, but its something.
