Not sure if it is because of GZDoom version you're using but when those things don't play, go to sound options and press restart sound, i should be playing by that.Janus3003 wrote:Still no luck.
Just so I'm clearer- the *.spc files in Golden Souls won't play in-game. The gargoyle boss has no music, nor do the Spider Mastermind and Icon of Sin. Same story with the credits. I don't know if this is only happening with Golden Souls or all wads using spc files. Anyone know of another wad with spc that I can compare it to?

Just tried "restart sound" during the quiet parts, and that worked. Curious as to why I need to do it in the first place, as I had to do it every time a new song played.

Are you sure you're not using an outdated version of gzdoom? Golden Souls 2 uses almost entirely spcs and everything works fine

Might want to throw that build (1403) in the trash and revert to 1396. It is a known broken test build.

But, I finally got it working. I switched from Fmod to OpenAL, and set its output to my speakers. Finally worked.
Not sure what all that means exactly, but it works.

I'm not developing this mod anymore since i'm working on the sequel, so there probably won't be significant content updates
