Didn't the same thing happen to Doom 4? The original Doom 4 got canceled, though it didn't have a solid release date to begin with. I wonder how id software survived that...

I wish Raven Software remasters the original Soldier of Fortune next, it would be a sure hit! Funny enough, the original was only released as physical media, the game is still not digitally distributed, it's not on steam, nor GOG, what a shame...
But luckily there is a Soldier of Fortune Community Edition which work on modern systems, Google it!

I didn't mind the infinite warfare trailer, maybe it's because I'm a sucker for a bit of Bowie. I haven't played a COD game since World at War, but this looks interesting

There are licensing issues with SOF, I'd wager.maseter wrote:I wish Raven Software remasters the original Soldier of Fortune next, it would be a sure hit! A remastered Soldier of Fortune game with its trademark ballistic dismemberment would be some seriously sick shiet. Besides, Payback bombed so it's highly unlikely that the series is going anywhere. But if it's ever gonna be made, it'll basically be COD: Brutal Warfare.
IJFO that Infinite Warfare has a Zombies mode. That's just great, just follow Treyarch and Sledgehammer 'cos everything's better with zombies. Whatever happened to the Cryptids from Ghost's Extinction mode? IW could have reused those guys in Infinite Warfare for a more Aliens-styled experience.
Next thing you know there's gonna be a CoD: Criminal Warfare with zombies and robots.

I hope what they mean by infinite warfare is instead of spending two years developing a new game, they just release a 20$dlc expansion campaign and some new maps every now and again. I would be cheaper.
