agreed, the xhair does also suggest the 'freedom' with its multiple xhairs for multiple barrels.

I was going for the look of a sort of in built logic engine in the xhair/hud system that is attempting to predict the fallout-zones of the bfg spray effect... plus, truth be told, it just looked so cool and techy... :D

It would make a great crosshair for the prototpye BFG, the one with multiple barrels.

If you want something that looks a little bit better to use as a base:
Rusted

Does this work better? The font choice isn't really final since I'll probably move to something lacking shadows. Decided to go with the rusted helmet since it seems more in-character for The Trooper.

EDIT: Font changes.

EDIT II: Mockup now shows full information - the player has 200 health, 38 armor, the red and yellow keycards, weapons 1, 2, 4, and 7 (knife/Demon Blood Sword, Surfeit Torment, Sokova 46/Pulsar-D, Last Salvo), and is currently using 2, for which he/she has 19 explosive bullets, 13 magnum shells, and 8 explosive magnum shells.

I would like it more if it didn't look so cartoonish.

his older sprite works are kinda does like it but not to me, all of his sprite works absolutely followed the vanilla doom style well. check out more of his work and see what i mean.

EDIT: Sprites removed. The author made the original model commercial
