Anime Textures? - Super Kawaii Happy Fun Time

Post by BlackLagoon »

I'm working on a mod 'Super Kawaii Happy Fun Time' and wondered if anyone here has made some anime textures for anything?
If so do you mind If I use some? I'd credit you if I ever finish the mod. Mapping is more my thing hence why I'm asking.

Here are numerous examples to show specifically what 'anime textures' means in videogame modding in case anyone doesn't know what the medium is.

I'm interested in weapon models, and character models primarily but I'm interested to see what else if anything people have made.

What exactly would "anime textures" entail? There are enough completely different directions that could be taken in that it's about as vague a request as would be "does anyone have textures from a video game".

I moved this to Resources, as there isn't a Project here, just a request. I suggest you get familiar with the Projects Guidelines.

As I was saying before you edited your post and removed your other reply, I'm aware of what anime is, you silly goose. That's exactly why I asked you to clarify. The pictures you've added don't help much, because they're mostly the built-in Doom textures with gaudy sprite replacements.
Spoiler: You're going to have to be more specific.
Do you want to make space stations? Gothic nightmare worlds? Fantasy forests? Contemporary schools and cities? Abstract geometric Studio SHAFT locales? None of the above?

BTW, you might want to edit out the nudity from your OP. Just saiyan'.

Except not a single one of those is a texture. Those are sprites. Furthermore not a single one of those images shows what 'anime textures' means in videogame modding. They lack any form of cohesion and are the anime equivalent of those massive mods that take resources from 90 different sources and just smash them together. Also I'm pretty sure one of those is from H-Doom and not actually from anime. Correction it's not, it looks more like something from Daggerfall, I thought it was the H-Doom Hell Knight. Still to the best of my knowledge Japan hasn't made a show about the adventures of 3-5 cute girls in Tamriel yet, so the Elder Scrolls still counts as 'not-anime'.

Your pendantic agressive behaviour has caused me to leave this forum.
I asked for help and all I get is some autistic cross-analysis.
I'm done here, I'll wait till Doom 4 SnapChat comes out so I don't have to deal with you.

(Warned. I don't care if you've been provoked, this sort of reaction really shouldn't happen. -ww)

You asked for help and you got asked what you actually wanted. If I walk into a restaurant and ask for "food" I'm going to get asked "what food do you want?".

You guys are silly. He clearly meant "sprites" even though he said "textures", the screenshots are evidence enough of that. Benefit of the doubt. :? And maybe he wanted some randumb thing with no cohesion? Sure, plenty of those already exist, and they certainly aren't my cup of tea. At least he said he'd credit, though.

Yeesh. Doom modding doesn't need to be super-srs business.

That didn't cross my mind, actually. He only posted the sprites after I had already replied and was making my second response to a now-deleted post in which he told me I had no idea what I was talking about. I saw the sprites and assumed he wanted textures to go with them, since he asked for textures. And even if he was looking for sprites when asking for textures, he would still need to clarify what he's actually seeking, specifically, so that anyone would be able to help him.

They are autistic clearly. I tried talking to them like regular people, you other guys are cool just the super-obsessed types who think everyone needs to be extremely exact and accurate despite the fact I have very little modding experience and therefore no possible way of using the exact terminology flawlessly.

Except I never said that you are now lying, please provide evidence.

I don't know what that means but I'm going to get permabanned anyway so you might as well tell me.

No one asked for anything that related to modding experience or anything technical, though, just for you to tell us what you're actually looking for because "anime" is not a homogenous thing. Like, assets relevant to a Cowboy Bebop decayed-future sci-fi universe are not going to be useful to a project that's closer to Baccano's 1940s Chicago setting or to Bakemonogatari's colorful abstract geometric structures.
Except I never said that you are now lying, please provide evidence.
What? Where did I say anything about "lying"...? You're going to have to get started on that evidence yourself I guess because I have no idea what you're referring to here.

Please read the responses to your thread more thoroughly before deciding to lash out and call people autists over perceived slights.

Uh, my custom title was DONUT GOLEM for years until 20 minutes ago.

That was the point of the thread before someone had to derail it.
