Sorry... I can't get behind this artwork. Contra Doom shouldn't have realistic weapon sprites... it needs to be slightly more cartoonish.

Well I decided to take a shot, based off the Doom SNES sprites just to keep the palette low and have that old-school flavor, and it's not very good but hey, I tried something.
I even put them in Slade myself to see how they'd look in Contra Doom. Problem is, they're too big doubled up compared to the normal shotgun, yet the normal SNES size for the sprites just seems too small. With the doubled up sprites, the firing actually blocks your view even.

Then why not just scaling it to the default shotgun's size? I'm trying to figure how to scale it to the proper shotgun size but GIMP2 always ruins it each time. Damn my luck.
